I really like this show. Used to watch it on WFN but got rid of the cable package that included it, now catch it online. I didn't know it is on NBC Sports, I'll have to find it there.

Kentucky Lake
Paris Landing State Park in TN, Kenlake State Park, KY Dam Village, or Lake Barkley State Resort Park in KY. If you stay in KY Andy Allen is your guide (closest to Kenlake or Barkley). A friend of mine who I've fished with many times with excellent results. PM me for number if interested. Steve McAdams is the biggest name guide in TN although I've never fished with him. Early June is an excellent post spawn fishing time and nice weather. After that fishing slows a bit and it starts getting pretty hot, especially for PA folks

2013 Roadtrip! You're Invited!
I have fished Pickwick 5 or 6 times over the past several weekends in preparation for and in a state tournament that our club fished as a team. My first time on the lake. We did pretty well finishing 4th out of 13 teams. The thing I want to bring up is that although this lake is known for smallies (I had alot of fun catching several of those) one of the guys on our team won big fish with an 8 lb 14 oz LM......that right there is enough to make me go back this spring!! This lake has em all....green, brown and spots!!

Pickwick Slooooow Today!!
We caught a few bass, mostly small. I think they are transitioning, should be good soon when the shad get to the back of the creeks. We fished from the back of Bear creek (where I caught the crappie and one keeper bass) down to the Natchez Trace Bridge. My partner caught two Gar, one on a frog at the edge of some grass, probably 3 ft long!

Pickwick Slooooow Today!!
Tough fishing today on Pickwick, bass were uncooperative but this nice crappie took a liking to a square billed crank!!

Big O's Rage Tail Menace
Going to give mine a try on Pickwick tomorrow. Planning on pitching them in deep grass (pegged & t rigged w/ 1 oz tung weight, 4/0 ewg hook) and also pitching them shallow to vrs cover (pegged & t rigged w/ 3/8 oz tung weight, 3/0 ewg hook). Any comments on my plan and rigging choices welcomed.

Crankbait Reels
BPS Pro Qualifier has an option for a 4.7 : 1 gear ratio which is a bit lower than some other manufacturers

Best Worm For A C- Rig
All good advice...I'll just add another option that I have had success with at times.....try a fluke.

Name The Jig And Win!
Keep it simple and descriptive: WG Jig
-
Only 3 Baits Allowed
1- Jig w/craw trailer (Alabama Craw) 2- Carolina Rig w/green pumpkin lizard, brush hog or big worm 3- Squarebill Crankbait (citrus or sexy shad) This is way too limiting due to different times of year.....IMHO the jig and/or a shakey head are probably the most versatile for all seasons.

2013 Roadtrip! You're Invited!
Hope Pickwick will be more productive in May than it was yesterday (I'm sure it will be). We fished various spots from Bear Creek down to the dam. Caught several fish (including a few smallies) but no size to them. The success we had was on docks and using topwater early around weeds. Some fish are beginning to school around the mouths of pockets and creeks (we caught a few small ones here). We spent way too much time searching ledges, didn't find much of anything. I am thinking this would have been better up lake where it seems to be shallower but without an Alabama license it was not an option. A friend fished up lake between Waterloo and the Bridge and fared much better just beating the banks. For those who are in the process of deciding whether or not to come, don't waste any time, just decide to make the trip!! It was my first time to fish it and although we had limited success it is evident it is a great fishery. Water is much clearer than I anticipated but that makes sense due to the large smallmouth population, deeper water etc.. It is indeed clearer than KY Lake or Guntersville and is or at least seems deeper in general even though it is part of the same Tennessee River chain. It's a beautiful lake with some homes that definetly made me envious. Ya'll just need to make plans to attend!!!

Winter Is Coming.....any Ice Heads
Never heard of fishing for ice.....guess any ice we'd have down here would be too thin and we'd have to throw it back!!
