  1. Buy a used rod. Lots of better rods than the lightning on the flea market site at that price point.
  2. I know there's one in Brighton, by the yacht club off of No. Beacon St. Good ramp
  3. Congrats, beautiful smallie.
  4. Worth company, every kind and size of blade imaginable.
  5. TW says they will match price, but when matching price they don't give you the military discount. Earlier this yr I found a helix10 for $50 less than TW had the same model. TW said they would match, I asked for Military discount and was denied I stated then why should I buy it from you. Person said he was sorry that was the policy. So I bought it from the other place. Just didn't seem very fair to me. Lately been buying most of my products from Tackle Supply Depot.
  6. Another company called Worth Company may be able to help with your issue. Gd luck.
  7. Great combination. Best of luck with your sharp looking new rig.
  8. Congrats on a very nice LM.
  9. Water and Micro fiber cloth, try to keep one in my tackle bag. Prescription sunglasses not cheap to replace.
  10. Haven't fished Horn in many yrs, but it used to be a pretty good bass pond even though it's thought of more of a trout pond(stocked). Friend of mine lost a real tank at the boat. Keep your car locked up tight and valuables out of sight.
  11. Congrats Lady Mopar, your determination was rewarded.
  12. Ditto on all you posted Hamma. They broke the mold when they made that woman, she was one in a million. RIP Kay.
  13. I use the St Croix Mojo 6'10" med/lt ex fast, love it and it doubles as a gd drop shot rod. Listed at $130, but if your a vet or know someone who is you can get at least 10% off.
  14. Wasn't trying to scare you just make you aware of how quickly things can change and to be aware. Lots of good fishing everywhere on Winni. Just pull up on a rock pile or a gravel flat and you should be able to catch fish, early and late would be my recommendation. You also have an open invite from NHBull, I've fished with him, he's a good guy and knowledgeable fisherman with a nice boat. Gd luck even if you catch nothing it's a very nice area to visit. Enjoy.
  15. Got that right JG. I like fishing with him.
  16. If your shore fishing you can try the Connecticut River.
  17. Sorry for your loss. Your right the media doesn't post much about these incidents. It pains me to see how many in our country have little regard for law enforcement. Yes there are some bad apples, but most are good and do a tough job serving and protecting out loved ones.
  18. Nice report D&D. Never be surprised at the size of anything a LM will eat, they have no problem woffing down a 10" trout or a 6" blue gill. They will be actively pursuing blue gill big time here very shortly. Crank bait time, also jig trailers with blue and or chartruese. JJs magic dye works wonders. Gd luck, and keep the reports coming.
  19. I'm with ya Tom. I'd love to fish and do some food on the grill. Camping doesn't much appeal to me anymore at my age. I'd stay at a motel, but in a tent or trailer............hummm I much prefer a comft bed. They'll understand when they get to our age...lol
  20. People who like to fish frogs, worms, and jigs would do well to watch this video. Pay attention to what he says regarding fishing pads. Just recently, a friend and I were fishing a small pad area. We did just as he said, we threw up into the pads to locate fish, We worked the worm over the pads quickly to locate fish, after knowing they were there we worked the edges of the area and wound up with 3 or 4 nice size LM by throwing worms up on to the pads and letting them fall when we hit open water.
  21. A friend and I tried Tuf-line supercast in 8# we both like it...a lot.
  22. Masscupic & Long pond in Dracut/Tyngsboro, Masscupic has a gd ramp. Long Sought For in Westford. Massapoag in Dunstable.
  23. Tom and i wound up with about 15 fish, biggest by Tom a little over 4. All on wacky rig and mine on the Necko rig.
  24. Ididn't think Sheeps had a parking restiction but it does limit hp on the motor. Called the epo on the cape, there is a way into Jenkins (They have to have it by law) but it's over grown and narrow, parking would be the problem.
