for the price i think you will have trouble beating a arkee jig ,,,, and not the swindell one eighter ..... they have a regular jig that runs 1.35 or so and this jig catches fish ..... ;D

i like t-rigging the 10inch power worm and tossing it in the weeds .... i use braid (50lb) and a heavy bullet sinker .... i like a 1oz sinker so i can bust through the weeds .... then i just lift the rod and lower the rod ,,, if the hoggs are there they will usially hammer that 10inch worm ;D

yup ive used then before ... great bait ,,, i like a few baits chompers makes ..... they have a great stink ,,, i like there grub its like a garry yammy hula grub but smells better i also like there tubes and the bait you have a pic of .... ive caught fish on all the baits i mentioned .... however i must warn you to take the bait off your hook before you stick your rod in the car .... last summer my girlfriend was ticked on the 2 hour ride home from up north ,,, yea i left the grubs on my hooks lol .... ;D

im almost sure st croix is making swimbait rod in thier legened tourney bass series ..... this may not be a bad rod option .... there is also a new rod line out in calli i believe they are called dobyns rods ,,, i know there is a whole rod series .... i hear Mike Long is using these sticks ..... other than that a callcutta should do the trick ......

if i where going to buy 1 hard bait id look at a wake bait ...... and the bait would depend on what i wanted to spend .... for 80 bucks you could get a 3:16 baby bass wake bait ,,,, this thing is sweet .... OR IF I WHERE LOOKING to spend less id look at a mr slamer ,, ugly looking bait but they get bit ..... ;D

ive been using mega strike ,,,, like it alot .... mainly to cover man stink ..... but ill also be tryin a different sent this year called CBS hawg sauce ...... i want to mega strike my whole bait and dip the tails in CBs

if i where just starting i dont think id drop 20 bucks on a lucky craft ..... just IMO .... id look at the sway back spook ,,, they have an arch in the middle that helps with the action ,,,, also attach a bigger sized o ring to the nose of the bait and tie direct to the o ring ..... i do this and it really helps me get the action im looking for .....

i just picked up a few of the bomber balsa bs ,,,, i like them alot ..... i was using 15lb p-line and could wake this bait on a SLOW RETRIVE .... im takling like an inch below ,,, still had a great action .....

i havent tryed them yet ,,,, but i agree they look good .... i also saw that bass pro where KVD was killin them with that king shad .... i saw a show where SHAW was using the king kong on EL-SALTO ,, he caught a few bass as well .... im just waiting to see if DICKS is going to carry them ,,, if they do ill grab me some .... ;D

i also attach a o ring to the line tie of my spooks this helps me walk the bait ,,,,, i never tryed this with a spro frog but now i may have to .......

are you olny fishing the zoom toad ????? if so you may wanna look at the stanley ribbit and the gambler cane toad ..... ive also used the sizmic toads and the yum frogg ..... the olny one i wouldent buy again is the yum frog ,,, it doesnt wanna stay on one side .... it spinns in the water rather than kicking .... i can tell you i will have the cane toads ,,,, horney toads ,,,, and ribbits in my box this year ... OOHHH and the SPRO froggs .....

well i was just telling you guys what i saw him do ..... at first he had trouble too ,,, i saw him struggle alot early last season but by fall he had it down ..... well for the most part lol ..... i will tell you its just like a dropshot hook set ///// now that you mention it ....he said that the hook is finer then the pig and jig hook so a constant preasue is better than a snap set ,,,, this is the reason i havent tryed the spot remover or other shakey heads ..... when i feel a tug i tend to snap set ,,,, my badd lol ..... im a sucker for the jig and pig i love a good hard hook set ..... well i geuss try it ,,, may work for some ,,, or may not ..... do what works best for you .... but let me know if it works .....

the main thing i had to learn was to slow down and let the jig do the work ..... never fish a jig on a slack line ,,,, like snaping the rod tip ..... rather use the rod tip to move the jig up or let it down .... keep your line tight from rod tip to jig ,,,, you will feel the bites .... i like a flour line this year im useing a p=line halo in the 15lb ,,, this line sinks ..... letting me keep that line tight ....

just like you walk a spook ..... rod tip down ,,,, snapping with the rod tip on semi slack line ..... ;D well thats how id try to explane it to ya ,,,, lol

i just picked up 4 bomber balsa b lures a few weeks back ...... they are sweet they run real shallow ,,, like a foot or two down ...... i love em and the action is sweet ,,, i wanna chomp them when i see them .... ;D

im with ghost on this one ;D the spro frog IMO is the best hollow bodied frog on the market ...... just fish it .....

the one he uses says spot remover on it ..... its flat on the bottom so it stands the bait up ..... i believe he uses a small robo worm ..... im not sure but he has been playing with this spot remover for a while .... he hooks the worm with the hook point buried so its semi weedless ..... ive seem him hook more then a few ..... when he feels them take the worm he just reels like crazy ane raised the rod up .... not a snap set more like a reel tug set ..... i geuss lol ;D

i dont fish these shakey heads at all ..... alto i do have a friend that does rather well with them ..... he swears by not using any kind of snap hook set ,,, he says just reel fast and let the rod load and set .... he said at first he used the snap set but lost a ton of fish ,,, so now he just lets the rod set the hook

my vote is for the zillion ,,, im a shimano guy and i own 2 .... ;D
