  1. i want whatever drugs you're on.
  2. Hard to say. Depends on reel, how well you can cast, etc. it will be easier to throw the 1/8 on the 852 though.
  3. You will be able to cast it just fine but ideally the 852 would be bettet suited for that in terms of sheer distance. I would rather throw a 1/8 oz + plastic on the 853 then a 1/4oz-5/16 on the 852. If at some point you get a fish wrapped in wood or junk, you will be glad you have the 853. If you are never throwing in cover and this rod will be 100% open water, the 852 would be a better choice as more often than not you're probably throwing 1/8 and 3/16. Add in any element of cover, get the 853 for 3/16-5/16.
  4. 3/16 oz + plastic , yes. Total weight will be around 5/16 or 3/8 depending on bait. You will have no issues
  5. It sounds like you want a specific answer. What exactely do you want to know?
  6. I've fished the GLX 844/853/854 i've fished the NRX853(used to own the 854) and own the NRX 893/894
  7. If you're serious about getting into chatterbait fishing, then neither. if you just want something to throw and try out, the rage blade is a good shallow water option that is meant to worked very, very slowly or it will will rise too fast and wake. it's okay at coming through wood. not great, but better than average. I'm fairly particular about my vibration jigs but I use a rage blade /w a custom skirt i tied for very shallow areas. no issues /w the hookups or hook bending.. I'm not a fan of z-man chatterbaits.
  8. 1/8-1/4oz weight + plastic in open water/light cover = 853
  9. for me, that's 2 different rods.
  10. Believe Andy Reid calls the offense of plays for the team. There's been a couple games for whatever reason Andy Reid only use Jamaal Charles for 11 touches that doesn't fall on Alex Smith. Alex Smith is not a downfield pastor he's much more of your traditional dink and dunk so kelce not getting the ball i assume falls on reid
  11. he's made apologizes for not using him in weeks prior. he is undoubtedly the most talented pass catcher on the team as well. his snap count has gone up (obviously /w fisano missing last week) for the most part each week. Granted kelce has the only receiving TD's for the team this year(aside from fiasno's look what i found a couple weeks ago), just watching the play calling for KC is such a head scratcher.
  12. If Andy "Hey let me apologize for X this week" Reid would realize he has a younger version of Gronk in Travis Kelce, they would be SO much better.
  13. blue craw
  14. "The most abrasion resistant braid" is like having to choose the skinniest fat chick in the group. Use a fluorocarbon leader if you insist on using braid.
  15. she got a football later in the game. but yeah..that was a ****** move on the his part.
  16. There is no solution to zebra muscles as far as abrasion resistance goes. Braid is the last line to use near them.
  17. could be zebra muscles. I can go through a spool of line every couple weeks if the squarebill bite holds. zebra muscles just destroy line.
  18. Bomber crankbaits don't suck
  19. braid's sensitivity shines on a tight line. it has zero slack line sensitivity. that's where fluorocarbon shines. adding a leader to braid doesn't give you the slack line sensitivity straight fluorocarbon offers.
  20. Pick the one that feels best in your hand. Neither reel will lack anything for its price if you know how to use a casting reel. Anything beyond that is x brand is better than x brand because i said so .
  21. weird. i see what you're getting it. i honestly think it's quite a bit easier to throw 6/8# fluoro than 15-20# braid. even /w the low line capacity of the conquest (i'd say ballpark 90-100 yards of quality fluoro is a good estimate. I haven't used the reel but just based on TT review of it using 87 yds of 10# super natural which is quite small in diameter relative to its U.S counterpart, 90 yards of something like 8# FC sniper should be easily attainable?) is beyond enough line. personally, i shy away from braid unless it's totally necessary. i also don't inshore fish so my opinion will be biased towards bass.
  22. nope. no idea why you would want to. the blanks are so ridiculously sensitive that not using fluoro for how well it transmits slack line feel on an NRX is a waste of money.....in my opinion. it is just so eerie how much you can feel dropping a jig through a tree on a slack line. i guess if you had the 916 for punching that's a different story.
  23. Scheels ran a closeout on these for 2$. Needless to say I have a lot of green pumpkin/red. As for them being discontinued... I hope not
  24. You certainly could but i prefer to never go that low around wood or any cover for that matter. light to medium cover is a relative term anyway. so true. if i'm "pitching or flipping light cover", there's at most 1 stick poking up in the water. If i'm pitching of flipping, I always do so /w 18-20# fluoro.
