  2. The Cabela's an hour north of me is 40,000sqft...... There's enough fishing equipment to keep you busy. Ours doesn't do an overstocking of house brands so there's quite the selection. To be honest it's one of the best Cabela's I've been to just due to the fact it stocks a lot of stuff in a small area. The redeeming trait that our Cabela's has is it's a Distribution Center so there's a warehouse adjacent to the store the size of a small town with everything the company sells at your disposal (and usually a 20-30 minute wait) I believe I've been to one of these Cabela's outposts before in Sidney, NE visiting my sister in Wyoming. Aside from fishing corners in gas stations, it was the worst outdoor shop I've ever been to. The Cabelas in La Vista, NE was pretty awesome though.
  3. Lol.... Dallas' "surprising" winning streak at the end of season MUST have been because if the refs! It. Had nothing to do with the ridiculously easy schedule into the playoffs did it? Jerry must've paid off somebody.... Clowns Highly unlikely anything becomes of this call. It wasn't the right call. Refs make mistakes... Even in Seattle. If they didn't overturn the fail Mary with replacement refs then there's nothing that's going to become of this aside from 2 to 3 days of media attention and then it's on to Saturday. Jerry being seen with the refs happened in August so unless they were waiting five months to bring something about, nothing is going to become of that either. You guys sound like a bunch of high school girls. It had nothing to do with being unable to take advantage of a Cowboys tick poor defense by Stafford right? Clearly it was the refs fault...Dallas is it going to be Green Bay anyway but it should be a fun game to watch.
  4. If you are uncomfortable doing it yourself, take it to Palo Outdoors. I'm pretty sure they do it for under 10$.
  5. Made it through round 1!! Best game of the weekend. Dal vs GB should be a super good game in Lambo. I don't see Dal winning but should be lots of offense.

  7. Anybody have any more experience /w these? I have a lot of cabelas cash and the 7'0MF has my interest. How true are the ratings on these rods?
  8. It's the only one I throw
  9. It isn't a huge upgrade in performance but I think it's worth it. The jump up to the scV blank is steep and that is a special blank. I will say make sure you hold the LTB. It uses the Sk2 fuji reel seat. Personally, I felt it is the most uncomfortable reel seat ever made but there are some who like it.
  10. The DX...11 times out of 10....8 days a week and it isn't even close.
  11. 4# high vis mono
  12. Shooter is worth the money for bottom contact/sensitivity. Sniper is a steal at it's price for a compromise of an all around line.
  13. I agree. Like I said before, it's the meanest rod they sell. The 795 is such a better rod. The 736 is quite stout, too. Paul's the only person I've seen that likes the 736 of all the line up for pitching/flipping. The 736 is a rod that a lot of people out west use as a frog rod. You could look at the 765 if you're looking to save some cash. That's as low as i would go though for your intended purposes.
  14. It's not a true MH. It's a MH in it's respective group "flipping", The 735c is also labeled as a MH and it's my frog rod. They don't label their rods as a universal whole it that makes sense. I.E a 733 is no where near the same kind of rod the 795 is even though they are both MH. If you were to label the 795 as a whole in their line up, it's probably a 1/2 power over a traditional H power rod. maybe a tad more. The 795 has a very unique action that allows you to pitch lighter weight baits than you would not want to /w the 766. The 795 can pitch a 5/16oz trig and punch a 1 1/2oz weight no problem. I've never used 2oz on the 795 and I don't even think I have 2oz tungsten to be honest. I use 1oz and 1 1/2oz punching. The 766 is by all means the "meanest" stick they make. It was more of a one trick pony for me though. It was punching or nothing. It's just such a broom stick. Not a lot of give in the bend. The 795 can do a lot of things and do a lot of things very well. If you're strictly throwing 3/4-1oz+ tungsten into grass and not using the rod for anything else, get the 766. If you need to punch 1oz weights then turn around and pitch 5/16 tungsten (probably could do 1/4oz too depending on bait) into cover, get the 795. It's 20$ shipping if I remember correctly. I've only had to use their warranty program once. Their guides are great guides. I have had an issue /w one. They will send you a new guide free of charge and just find a bait shop or somebody local to put it on. It will cost you at most 10$ and won't void any warranty. I notice your favorite lake is Candlewood. If you're local, look up Paul Mueller.(He got 2nd last year in the classic) He's a guide on the lake and one of the nicest guys you will ever talk to. He's on the Dobyn's Team and will probably let you feel any rod you want. He also has a youtube channel.
  15. You are about to lose your man card Tell her that you would like to look at her closet together and see who hasa problem No reason to get defensive good man. There is a better shot at curing AIDS than finding a cure for the Bait Monkey. Just let it go. You have no problem! If you can find the definitive answer..please let us know. Nobody has ever found that limit.
  16. Difficult? Yes. Most difficult? No... Denver's schedule was just "as difficult" as Seattle's. Oak had: NE SD (2) Den (2) KC (2) BUF MIA ARI SF STL Sea CLE (played CLE when they weren't injury plagued) HOU (not great but not a gimmie) Their other game...NYJ Not a single game on that schedule that any team would feel great about playing aside from the Jets Sea on the other hand had Oak, Wash, Carolina early in the season, Giants, and an offense-less Ari team. Not exactly difficult...
  17. This literally has nothing to do with this topic...... The topic is about rod power, not action.
  18. No idea about the GLX. The dobyn's rods in the 7'6+ balance better than any rod on the market. for 1 rod to do everything you're mentioning, I'd look at the DX795.
  19. I could see the argument actually for Sea BEFORE the season started because SF was supposed to be good. While not easy, after the season ended they by no means has the most difficult road to the playoffs.
  20. Oakland had the most difficult before and after the season started and it isn't really that close.
  21. ...no...they didn't.
  22. It won't make a noticeable difference.
  23. The NRX 895 would work very well for your intended purposes. Beaware though, it's probably the most tip heavy NRX made.
