the brake dial protrudes a bit and isn't as recessed as the zillion and steez and makes it vulnerable to rotating the dial while palming the reel. This dial isn't as easy to turn by just looking at it but it's more difficult to turn than the OG zillion. There's an indent behind the brake dial that locks it in and makes the audile click if working correctly. If that isn't the case, you can snug up the set screw or return it.

I have dipped my toes into the chicago culinary arts. I can confidentially say I would rather fishing professionally for smallmouth bass in south america than ever do anything professionally in illinois. That state sucks politically, logistically, professionally. All of those parts are standard on tatulas. Tatulas , steez A /w magseal, zillion Gs dont come with levelwind bearings and the red washer is a clear plastic emcompassed by a drag washer, on most new mid+ tier reels. The stand alone red is common place on tatulas and is sprinkled in here and there on others.

Remove the rubber orange seal and throw them away. if you didn’t get bocas, flush them and add one drop of oil to quiet them down. Orange seals can be ran dry but they’re incredibly noisy.

Curado drive shaft will fit. Very simple to swap drive shafts. You may may want to also consider a new nut cap or at least examine the one you have. Those threads are soft and easily damaged.

The reel will "cast" those weights but it isn't intended to. I've used mine for pitching jigs and it was fine but you can feel it flex a little if a fish is buried. It excels at crankbaits, jerkbaits, weightless senkos, open water football jigs, keitechs. I use mine for jerkbaits. has no issue throwing 3/4 oz. the issue come with the resistance of what's at the end of the line.

The peanut is similar to the WEC mutt and is a drastically different bait than wreck. Dives a touch deeper and has a tighter action. I really like the peanut. The wreck jr is just a miniature version of the wreck which is similar to the WEC E-1. I've used the wreck for a couple years now and really like it. I have used the JR but prefer other companies sub 2in wood baits.

I've head this same rumor as well. Hopefully there's some merit to it. @BandersnatchPlat is your best bet currently or asian fishing portal. You'll get them faster than Daiwa US.

champ 704 cb (non glass) is the closest .

It’s one of Daiwa’s better spools. It’s the same as the stock spool in the 16’ steez svtw. I have a few of them in various reels and like it alot more than even the boost spools. The 1012 is just a shallow version of it.
