Daiwa tatul elite ags vs major craft
unless you're venturing into the major craft over seas. the AGS is a better product. the stateside major craft is decent but it isn't any better than what it's priced at.

2020 Tat Sv, play/slop in T wing
TWS side to side play is normal from the tatula to the steez line. It doesn't however have play in such a manner that would make it audible or tangible through the reel under load. There's a set screw on the side of it, make sure it's snug. It isn't difficult to move with your fingers but it shouldn't wobble during a retrieve.

Daiwa Tatula SV TW is kinda loud and not as smooth as I was expecting.
What you're experiencing is unfortunately quite common /w the tatula line of reels. They, like stated earlier, can come very dry from the factory and that isn't just limited to the gears. The spool bearings, in my experience /w some other peoples, come dry as well which is the culprit of the noise. Assuming the gears aren't damaged, which is rare but has happened, once lubricated correctly and the spool bearings flushed (it usually takes 3-4 full flushes to get them perfect) and oiled, I can make a tatula reel feel very, very...very smooth. I have not had this issue in any of my Steez or Zillion (old and New G) JDM/USDM. It's typical for the tatula line of reels to have some handle "slop" or in/out play as some call it. You'll notice it more under load of a lure or reeling in super fast on occasion. These reels, however, can, and should be, very smooth.

For Daiwa specifically, Daiwa space age blue or JDM clear or ZPI medium.

It will work but it isn't something I use on my or others reels. You can flush spool bearings a few different ways. you can soak them in lighter fluid or acetone for example in a baby food jar and gently swish them around from time to time. A second quick bath in isopropyl alcohol is best and then A quick shot of compressed air while holding the bearing in place and then spin the bearing to test /w your finger on a bearing check tool or pencil w/e. You don't need a 900 second free spin. The key is for the bearing to not have a "crunch" sound and it to come to a smooth , not abrupt, stop. Then a very, very, small drop of oil in the bearing.

Daiwa reels are notorious for coming dry from the factory more often than not. Opening the side plate up and and adding new grease to the gears is the best option. I will strongly advise against scrubbing the lower end daiwa gears /w a toothbrush and rather just let them soak in a degreaser and rinse/dry. I'm not a fan of the shimano ACE2 for Daiwa reels but it's okay. Daiwa space age blue/clear or ZPI medium are what I prefer for the main/pinion. while you're in there, 100% flush the 2 spool bearings and re oil them /w your choice of a low viscosity oil .

Your Key Applications With #12 lb. FC Line ?
I use 11# fluoro to rope cattle and pull 19 wheelers from the depths. 12# seems excessive.

High end rod owners?
you clearly haven't seen many NRX/conquest rods in person then. This is a common complaint......

Google Team Daiwa 103 HI. The reel itself isn't uncommon but brand new is obviously rare. Not worth much though.

Rapala OG 6 vs discontinued DT Flat 7
I'm sorry you fell for the advertising. It's been pretty widely known/accepted that the mod he did was remove the bill from a DT flat 3 and 7 and put his own bill and relocate the line tie for different action. Shortly after the beans were spilled in early 2019, Marty Burns was doing this mod for a lot of people on Wood Bait Nation. The baits have very different actions

New St Croix rod
yes, a 6.2oz reel. There’s plenty of rods out there That balance significantly better at the same length, with the same size real. It bothers some people more than it bothers others. If you weren’t worried about it, then stop worrying about it. You don’t have to fish with other peoples rods.

Is this website a scam?
Overseas shipping is only delayed if they only offer EMS. Dhl/fedex will be at your door faster than most US retailers. I buy most reels overseas

New St Croix rod
A shop had some in stock and a certain somebody mounted a reel on them and showed the balance point on all the casting models. It was similar to the legend tournament bass. Bad.

New St Croix rod
New rods are very lightweight but still annoyiny tip heavy based on the pics floating around. the 610mlxf being roughly 2.9oz sounds awesome

What is the story with the new Kistlers?
I'm not trey so I can't say for absolute certainty but my guess is the blanks are outsourced, shipped to him and they do all the wrapping/assembling in house for some/most models. The label might say assembled/crafted in the USA instead of made in the USA. Just a guess. His rods have always been great action and sensitivity wise but they are just inexcusably/annoyingly tip heavy for what his prices are. I wish more companies did what he does for the foam locking nut.

What is the story with the new Kistlers?
Kistler has moved away from NFC blanks, per Cal after Trey had a conversation /w him, and have partnered /w many "elite carbon factories from around the globe". Didn't say specifically why but I'm assuming the hike in NFC blank costs to him had to do /w it.
