  2. Those rods are ridiculously well balanced. I wasnt paying 200$ for one but i will get one on sale.
  3. There isn't a Tatula TWS SV available as of yet. I believe you are referring to the Zillion SV TW which is the same price as the current SV103. The sv103 (OG zillion frame) and Zillion SV TW are not the same frame. The Zillion SV TW shares the same frame as the Tatula CT. The SV103 is definitely a classic frame. The Tatula CT frame hasn't been out for more than a year. I hope the SV103 or at least the frame will continue to have models built on it. Aside from the Steez SV TW, the Td-Z frame/OG Zillion is by far the most comfortable to use.
  4. yes. different frame. The SV103 should have been called the zillion SV103. Would confuse a lot less people. It's based on the original zillion frame that everybody loves.
  5. thats the daiwa SS. different reel.
  6. Yes, you do need another battery. The only thing running off your TM batteries should be your TM. Never run anything else off them as it will cause one to deteriorate quicker thus lowering the actual battery you have. Run your motor and electronics off a dedicated cranking battery and leave your TM on their own batteries.
  7. Order them from Brian at the TackleTrap. Parts are available on their site. Cheaper than shimano and use code TT10 for a discount, too.
  8. Daiwa Death Screw!!! The sole reason I invested in Wera and Wiha screwdrivers for working on my and friends reels. I've literally had to take a tiny etching bit in a dremel to make a flat head slot in that tiny POS to get it out. Ruining that screw is kind of a right of passage.
  9. Its an awesome reel
  10. If your nut keeps coming loose, the threads on the drive shaft could be stripped. A handle retainer won't keep it tight if the threads are damaged. You can try a new handle nut but if it won't stay locked, your going to need to replace the drive shaft. will be around 24-25$. I've had it happen twice. The nut size should be 10mm. Put a 10mm socket on the nut and tighten it. Don't go crazy but tighten it down. The tool that came in shimano reels works, too. The tatula handle assembly from the TT doesn't come /w a handle nut or retainer. It's handle/knobs only. You have to order the nut and plate/screw separately.
  11. Kiffin has had a head coaching job at FAU for a while now... He should stay in college and not go back to the NFL again. Kiffin isn't an NFL coach and neither is his play calling/judgement.
  12. Dx795 is a punching rod and one amazing one at that. Champ 765 would be better. Dx745 would be ideal.
  13. Would not go any lighter than 35.0#.
  14. The current Zillion SV TW spool does not drop into the current CT. It's a different spool design. They do share the same frame dimensions. The new SV spool won't drop into current CT tatulas. Current Tatulas use a spool shaft design where SV spools do not. I would opt for an SV103 if I had to choose between the 3 you are wondering around.
  15. Ehler has a new commercial during MLF for the new Daiwa Tatula CT SV. Release date I would bank on the week following ICast and hope for sooner /w the Japan show this month I'm sure they will be on display. Price point you can pretty much bank on adding 100$ to the reel. Maybe 70 to keep it at 199 MSRP. Hopefully it can be found cheap like other tatulas. SV spools are awesome. If they can get this reel under 200$, this is going to be heck of a buy.
  16. BOOOOOO. TW final day sale is live but now it's on "select sale items are 25% off" instead of the usual everything. LC, zillion TWS are among those not on sale.
  17. There is very little performance between the original tatula and zillion tws justify the price difference. Especially when the tatula, both gen 1 and current CT can be found for 80-90$. You get an upgraded tws line guide and drag star. Side by side you wont be able to tell the difference. That said, if you are okay with the larger previous tatula/zillion tws frame, 112$ is a fair deal. On paper, you're getting a great deal. Performace wise , you arent. I wouldnt pay over the sale price for it.
  18. Read the TT review of the zillion TWS. There's a reason it wasn't that popular. If you want a zillion to own a zillion, find an OG zillion, sv103, or the new zillion TW SV in the ct frame. 112$ is an appropriate price for it.
  19. It's suprisngly good stuff. Handles are fantastic. Havent tried everything they offer but ive read very few issues. Expect a long wait for your stuff though.
