Welcome. Thank you for your service! I did 10-1/2 ys in the AF........always wanted to go to Germany......nervier got to. Read and absorb all you can and exercise that knowledge when you get back home. It may seem silly to you.....but if I were in your spot....I would at least practice my casting, pitching and flipping. Just to keep my skill set sharp or strengthen them so I could make the most of my fishing time when I got to return. Take care Chris

Its no wonder you're always broke!

I don't use crankbaits in cold water.......I slow it down with a slow lure. As far as tight vs wide wobble ......... I just use a wide wobble and switch to a tight wobble if they don't bite the first. I was always under the impression they slow way down in cold and that meant I needed to slow down my presentation.....so I guess I would opt for the tight wiggle in cold water if I had to choose. Those more knowledgeable will chime in soon.

Yes sir I have one...........takes the edge off the cold when it's 32 or so.......lately not so much

Are there any relays in the livewell electrical system usually? Or does that vary between models? I'm gonna drag the boat inside the garage tomorrow if I can get the tractor started..........that means starting the day with very cold mornings for me in the truck for a while. But after I get it inside I will start tracing the wires after work during the week.

At least once a week that's our date night......grab some supper out...usually BBQ but could be steak......then over to BPS and walk all the aisles......at least boating and fishing aisles. Usually 2 or 3 times a week after fishing when the weather warms up.

Yepper........I'm gonna leave inside a good while. Tryin' to force a weather enhancement with positive thoughts and actions!

I know it's still a ways off......but it seems closer when I look at the calendar and think of all the things I need to have done before the trip! Still more excited than ever!

Gonna drag my boat into the garage on Wednesday and start the de-carpeting process. Maybe start the re-carpeting process by the weekend or the following week. Waiting for 60+ degree weather to put down the adhesive.

Then it has to be true! Don't know but I'm gonna start trying it.

I carry always. Where....everywhere it is legal. Why.....because you never know when or where you will need it. If you did, you just wouldn't go there then.

Alas.......another pitfall of owning a boat from a manufacturer that is no longer.......Procraft. I will take a peek at the site you posted and weigh that with repairing it myself what Hoffman recommended. Thanks y'all.

Does anyone know of source to get a compartment lid replacement fabricated? I have one small lid that has been cracked across the top and I would like to replace it when I recarpet the boat soon. Thanks Chris

Others here are more knowledgable than me regarding this topic. But I would say do not put a motor on a boat that exceeds the rating of that boat.
