Why Were You Asked To Leave?
Soon after meeting my wife.........After the calf fry........thrown out of the local Denny's in Stillwater.......way too intoxicated and felt the waitress was seating people that came in after us before she had seated us......so I bowed up and got very ugly.......but we got away before the law got there. And yes Lee........she still married me

Unloading Your Boat
Yeah.......I forgot to mention the PFDs.........leave those in an uncontrolled environment and you end up with mold.........and or the cost of replacing the charge tubes after they deploy! That equates to $$$$$$.

2014 Bass Resource Road Trip
This is a great opportunity to meet some of the folks here on the forum. Last year was my first trip and I do not plan on ever missing one........to say its a blast is a vast understatement! Nobody is left standing on the bank that wants to go out in a boat......a great group of fisherpeople. Hope to see you there!

Underwater Photos Of Giant Bass
Great post Bluebasser. I've shared this with several friends. Those images just reinforce why I always take a sidearm when fishing! Thanks

Unloading Your Boat
WRB is right on. If my boat is being stored in the garage I might leave the rods and tackle in the boat overnight if its late, or some special issue. But I store my rods, tackle and electronics (always) in the house except on the occasional situation above. We have a routine......get home and unload the gear and tackle into the house. I think the climate control is good.........I feel the temperature extremes in the garage is hard on both my gear and tackle. I also have dedicated cases for my electronics. They only come out of the cases when we get to the lake and right back into the cases when we are done. When traveling.....like on the Annual Bass Resource Road Trip......I keep all the rods, tackle and electronics in the cab of my truck. When traveling more than a day from home with my boat....... I will unload the gear and tackle from the truck into my motel room for the night. I don't even leave the trolling motor out when traveling long distance. Plus it's more secure. Just my .02 cents.

Bass Angler Magazine
Spelling and grammar bother me a great deal. I look past it when an individual is trying to convey something and I don't judge. But a magazine, newspaper (professionals) I have no tolerance for mistakes like that. An occasional mistake I can understand I guess........but too many and I will give up on them! Yes..........Glenn and Mike do a GREAT job! Thanks guys

The Flu
I came down with the flu 2 weeks ago today. I too was off work a full week. Saturday to Wednesday I could not do anything but sleep. Thursday to the following Monday I got progressively better but not 100%. I felt like I needed those naps too.......just very low energy. By Wednesday I felt about 95%......I thought. Then Wednesday night caught the stomach virus my son had Monday......that kept me off work Thursday and Friday. The flu really weakened me I feel like I am vulnerable to anything now. I got the flu shot 1st week of October and have done so every year since 1984. My Symptoms were: very achy, fever, just did not care about anything. Official symptoms are cold like symptoms, fever, aches, runny nose, congestion...........I think those are them. If you have symptoms that cause you distress....go to ER. Otherwise go to your dr or minor emergency clinic if you want to.

Let My Stupidity Be Your Lesson
Do as I say......not as I do! In my defense......that was before I purchased my inflatable PFD..........I guess I should change my avatar, eh?
-
Let My Stupidity Be Your Lesson
Very glad you made it back in the boat. PFDs are like seat belts and concealed carry firearms (by permit). If you knew you were going to need it then you would make that trip at that moment! Again.....glad you made it ok. Please in the future alway wear your PFD while on the water.

Boat Storage Question, A Little Odd
Pulling batteries would be my only option in your situation........but I would pull them out anyways if I was storing it somewhere to prevent theft.

Has Anyone Done Any Winter Fishing In Oklahoma Lately?

Indoor Fishing??
I think I'm gonna pitch this idea to Jerry Jones........I'm sure he would be interested in something he could use to generate off season revenue in his little stadium! :laugh5:

Respect For Our Flag
I am a disabled veteran (mildly) that served 10.5 yrs in the USAF with a tour in Desert Storm. People tend to not pay attention while driving, so I agree that they were not intentionally trying to disrespect our flag. Personally speaking........I would rather nobody got hurt as a result of attempting to recover a flag. I hold the flag in the highest of reverence, with a great respect of what it stands for. But I also hold life in even a higher regard.......please never get hurt trying to pick up a flag. If someone had hit the brakes and swerved to miss the flag very likely could have resulted in a chain reaction of events resulting in injury or death to someone.......just not worth it. I only hit my brakes and swerve to preserve human life. That's just me. Can't trust other fools on the road. I appreciate your patriotism and your act of homage you were paying your family and vets.........but I appreciate you being alive more, Thanks
