  1. There is a ton of spinnerbait info on this site. Check out the article section, all of your questions can be answered with just a little research.
  2. If your going to fish them texas rigged, use Owner Twist lock hooks, 3/0 or 4/0. I get three or more fish per Senko using these. These are the hooks that Gary Y recommends.
  3. Just in time for opening weekend!!
  4. Quit using trailer hooks last year. Never caught a fish on the trailer hook(caught my thumbs plenty of times while removing fish). From watching Glenn's video I know he is a fan of trailers. I plan on experimenting with some this year when the going gets tough.
  5. If I actually saw them sunning themselves, I would throw a senko at them.
  6. I've always got a can of corn with me when I'm fishing. When the bass bite slows down I'll start chumming some corn and go carping. Tremendous fighters and I'm usually the only one going after them on purpose.
  7. Was able to read all four of those books this winter. Just visit your local library.
  8. I've caught them with a Senko. I will pitch it towards the deeper water and watch them slowly move out to investigate. Once they move I would reel it back in and pitch out again. Most of the time they are just waiting for it to hit the water.
  9. And I thought we had it bad here in Michigan with an April 26th opener.
  10. As a shore fisherman the majority of the time. I always have a plastic carryout bag with me. Not so much for my trash, but for the other guys trash. Everywhere I fish I'm reminded that someone else has been there before me. There was a time when people used to leave an area just the way they found it, now they just leave it and their trash behind. Now when I.m finished in an area, I always pick up some trash, knowing that I have just left an area better than it was when I got there!
  11. My sentiments exactly. An outstanding knot for fluorocarbon.
  12. Uncle Si.(Robertson)
  13. He's going to Oakland. It's a perfect fit.

  16. If you can see em, a senko will catch em.
  17. 1/2oz Bluegill or shad spinner bait,
  18. Go for it, let us know how you did.
  19. When ever I go fishing on familiar water, I always rely on my past experiences(Memory)to start the day. Fishing logs and waypoints are great tools for documenting your past experiences(memory). They are great starting points as long as similar conditions exist. We all know that fishing conditions change by the minute and it is your past experiences(memory) that help you to adjust to those conditions. And it is our willingness to experiment that creates new fishing experiences(memories).
  20. Just a reminder, Bass season opens April 26th here in Michigan. Lipless, spinnerbaits and bladed jigs are all effective.
  21. Fishing...........It's just what I like to do!!
  22. Low oxygen levels due to snow covered ice. I expect to see a significant fish kill at some of the shallow lakes and ponds I frequent here in Michigan. Only the strong survive in the natural world.
  23. FYI If you go to Shaws facebook fan page, he has a video of a nine footer posted.
