Kayak light
That light looks interesting but I'm not sure it's really tall enough. Being only 18" it wouldn't be hard for your body to block the light and wouldn't allow oncoming boats to be able to see you.

Bass pro brand rods thoughts and comparison
Well if you are looking for a rod that floats, it seems that the Carbonlite rod and reel does. Anyways, for my opinion on the BPS rods, I have an older Bionic Blade 2 piece rod that I use for mainly top water lures since I have straight braid on that reel. It's a decent rod, has a lot more action on the tip than I like and I really don't like the power hump thing in the cork handle, but for what I use it for it's not bad. Has caught lots of fish for me. I mainly got it because it was on sale at the time and I needed a 2 piece rod since I only had a car to transport it in.

Lews TP1 and Mach 1 Speed Spool
I have a TP-1 spinning rod and I like it a lot. I have a 7’ medium one that I have been using for wacky rigs and tubes with braid and a leader. It was between that rod and a Duckett ghost and the Lews just seemed to feel better in my hand. Plus it has microwave guides and the Winn grips.

Self inflating PFD's
So what makes them speed rated??!? The USCG website doesn't say anything about speed ratings on their website when it comes to PFDs. Even the most expensive Mustang vests don't say anything about speed ratings. After looking, no inflatable is speed rated as they are not approved for use while water skiing, personal watercraft use, or tubing.

Self inflating PFD's
Just for the OPs info West Marine has their off shore (i.e. higher amount of floatation) inflatable vest on sale today for 56% off which makes it $99. Has sailing harness D-rings and heavy duty straps. I’m fairly certain it would have a pretty good speed rating even bough it doesn’t state it.

Weedless Ned Rig
Personally I've tried to Texas rig a Ned to keep it more snagless but it seems that burying the hook into the plastic really kills its action in the water. It loses it's wiggle that it has when rigged on a smaller lightweight hook. So i go back to rigging the standard way. I don't really lose many Ned rigs to snags, and if I do get snagged on a log or tree the hooks bend out pretty easily and I can usually get it back.

Self inflating PFD's
I use both the Bass Pro ones and the West Marina ones. Every now and then West Marina has great deals on theirs and can be had for around or even less than $50.

Alright kayak guys, time for an upgrade - Life Jackets
I use a Stohlquist Fisherman Kayak vest. High backed, has pockets, lightweight. You can find them on sale for around $80 online. http://www.stohlquist.com/life-jackets/fishing-pfds/fisherman.html BPS sells a similar one (Ascent brand) that is a little cheaper and looks like it would work fine too. I wouldn't wear one of my inflatables I have for my big boat on my kayak because all it would take is hitting one unseen log in the stream and have it flip me to set the thing off, then I have no PFD for the rest of the trip. I usually don't carry a recharge kit with me in the kayak but I suppose I would if I wore it in the kayak.

Jon boat/kayak transducer bow mount.
Here's a few Scotty: https://www.amazon.com/Scotty-Transducer-Arm-Mount/dp/B0174X6UNQ?th=1&psc=1 RAM: https://www.amazon.com/RAM-Transducer-Mount-Diamond-Ball/dp/B00BFVH6S2/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1516886682&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=ram+transducer+arm+mount The RAM one costs a little more but would be easier to get another ball mount so you can have a mount on both crafts and you'd just have to move the arm between the two.

Bag vs box soft plastics
I keep all of mine in the bags they come in or a small ziploc bag if I buy them in bulk. When I started getting heavy into bass fishing I used plano boxes to store my worms but quickly realized I had way way too many soft plastics to keep buying boxes to store them. I keep all like kinds of baits (craws, worms, swimbait/flukes, toads) all together in larger gallon sized ziplocs so they are easier to find.

Ulterra or Ultrex help please
I don't have either but I do know that I've read about using an external transducer on the Ulterra is a pain trying to run the cable for the transducer to the motor head. Due to the gear track needed for the motorized mechanism you can't run the wire down the side of the trolling motor shaft. Not an issue if you are just going to use the Universal transducer that is included inside the trolling motor though.

Fantasy Fishing 2018
I'm in. I have no clue on what the deal is with Lake Martin in the middle of the winter is. So the first one is going to be a crap shoot.

culling non peircing clips
I guess. They look like the've been around since 2005 so I guess it works. I'd assume it keeps the fish from freaking out in the well and splashing all over the place when you open the lid. I also guess they have different sizes to accommodate different size fish too.

culling non peircing clips
Putting a fish in a mesh bag inside a live well sounds like a terrible idea. So much for their slime coat because it's going to all end up on the mesh bag. How are the fish supposed to maintain themselves in an upright position if they are in a bag?

Jetski vs boat
Missouri has a boat operators law that states anyone born after 1983 has to pass a boaters education class before they are able to operate a motorized boat. Also, to operate a boat alone a person has to be 14 years old unless accompanied by an adult. I'm not sure why that age isn't 16 since why is it OK to be able to operate a boat if you aren't old enough to operate a car. Not that being old = being smart. It's pretty amazing reading the water patrol reports during the summer time and seeing how many boat collisions there are that involve PWCs. People are just dumb sometimes. I'm wondering what the outcome of this accident was. Lawsuit against the owner of the PWC?

Pickwick Dam Tail waters
I was just wondering how they all were in the same picture. I'm guessing live well? Why not just snap a picture after catching and then release then? I just had a sickening experience with something this past summer when I was putting my boat in one day and a dad and son were taking out and asked if I could take a picture of them holding up all the bass they caught during the day. When they opened the live well, 3 of the 7 fish they had caught were belly up with one of them being about a 6lber. Then to my surprise they then dropped them off the courtesy dock into the water and left to take their boat out. The three belly up fish stayed that way and they didn't have a second thought about leaving them that way. I just shook my head and left to go fishing. Not saying your fish weren't taken care of and were fine when released but unless you are in a tourney why keep the fish in the well all day?

BPS Wacky Stik-O Worm
They look good but I think the regular Stick-O's work great as they are. Plus if they aren't liking it wacky rigged I think the regular Stick-O's look like they would texas rig better than these so I can switch the rigging up easier. I buy the Stick-O's by the 50 pack for $12 when they have them in the cheap bins in the store so while 16 for $6 is a good deal I think I'll stick with the regular ones.

Fluke style bait
I just started using Big Bite Bait's 5" Jerk Minnow and I really like the action the tail gives it. The tail is a little different than the Super Flukes and it gives the bait a little shimmy as it sinks when texas rigged weightless. Got lots of bites on pearl colored ones last time out...

O rings for smaller worms
Go to Walmart and go to the hair care products and get some "ouchless" Goody hair rubber bands. I found a pack that had several sizes. One size worked well doubled for senkos so I can rig the hook perpendicular to the worm. There were smaller sizes for smaller worms as well in the pack. The shrink tubing didn't work for me as the fish would eat the worm and all I'd get out of it was a bare hook and the shrink tubing. Didn't allow for a good hook up ratio at all.

Pickwick Dam Tail waters
Nice fish, did you catch them all at the same time or did they end up as table fodder?

Your Usage Theory On Drop Shot Weights ?
Went to a seminar last year where Brandon Palaniuk was speaking at and he mainly uses 1/4oz unless it's really windy. I don't think I've ever used anything but 1/4oz, but I don't fish the DS much.
