  1. The PQ2's aren't anywhere as good as the original PQ's. And I hate my Revo I have. I'd look at some Lew's reels in the price those are. I've had much much better luck with my Lew's reels.
  2. Zoom makes their new Zoom Frog that floats and will be about as weedless as you can get and still get a buzzing action.
  3. Polarized sunglasses just don't help with fishing, they are also great for cutting down glare when driving too.
  4. Garage. I mainly take them off so they don't get road debris on them or risk having them come loose and fall off while I'm driving and not notice. I have had my console mounted one come off the mount when I was on choppy water once. Luckily Garmin thought well enough about their product to make it water proof and so it floats and I was able to retrieve it with no harm done to it. Popped it back on the mount and off I went. I don't think it coming off the mount going down the road with would have the same outcome though.
  5. If it's going to be a walk the dog only rod ^^^^^ has a good point about it being a shorter rod.
  6. I was thinking the whole time that ice can't be that thick if it's that clear. Good one!
  7. $80 and you can have a tool that pretty much ties the FG knot for you. Look for it on Amazon. ELECTRIC FISHING KNOT TYING TOOL - YouTube
  8. My BPS Carbonlite 2 7' medium/fast works really well for walk the dog.
  9. I'll pay $50 at most for fishing glasses. Too easy to lose a good pair. For driving I'll go for the nicer ones. The ones I currently use are a pair of Shady Rays on my boat, I think I got a toofer deal on two pair for like $50 around Christmas a couple years ago. If I'm kayaking I'll take a pair of my FishGillz since they float.
  10. If the weather stays like it's been the past week or so they'll be rearing to go when you are there. Should be fun.
  11. Mine come off easy enough so I always take them off after the boat is out of the water.
  12. I have a pair of Simms that are nice but I’m not fond of the palms not having material on them. Others I have are some Outdoor Research ones off Amazon that are super lightweight and have rubber nubs on the palms that help with my grip. I also got another pair off Amazon called Magreel? Haven’t gotten to use them yet but they have a leathery material on the palm and under the index and middle fingers. They feel nice though.
  13. My first walker was a Sammy, but I've found I like the horizontal resting position of the SK Sexy Dawgs more. They are just as easy to walk also. At one point I found a small walking bait that I really liked called the Daimiki Dolphin, but they don't make them anymore.
  14. Yep, they are a must for rod lockers of any kind. I have tubes in my rod locker and rod socks make it much easier to slide the rods in without getting the guides hung up on the edges as I slide them in. Also if I take all my rods I just put them in the area under the tubes and it keeps the rods from getting all tangled up with one another and makes it easier to pull them out of the locker. I never used them prior to owning a boat.
  15. There are all the coastal dune lakes between PCB and Destin that I've heard are great to fish in. Florida's Treasure: Coastal Dune Lakes - 30A Fish, hike, paddle and enjoy birding on the coastal dune lakes of South Walton | Walton Outdoors
  16. It also makes the worm a lot more lively and makes it float better.
  17. Do you snap the salt out of the worm before you use them? I pull on them and stretch them way out and then let them go until almost of the salt is gone. This is on the Zman worms of course. I have had worms on shroomz heads for 100’s of fish using the same head and I haven’t had one break from rust.
  18. We stopped cable and went to YoutubeTV when Spectrum started charging $4/mo more for the same equipment we had been using for 2 years. We had 4 set top boxes at the time so that was $16 more per month. We dropped 2 boxes and started using their Roku app but then their prices went up across the board and we were paying a small car payment a month for TV. The only thing I regret now is I don't get the regional Fox Sports channels on YoutubeTV because Sinclair Broadcasting got greedy and wanted to raise carrier's prices, which would have made our cost go up. Oh well, I've found other means to watch our sports online for free. There's so much free programming using Roku apps like said above that there's really too much programming to watch in a day to justify paying for any TV at all really though. If I didn't have little kids to keep entertained I would probably drop YoutubeTV. We get free AppleTV and Disney+/ESPN+/Hulu through Verizon so there's that also.

  20. 5" wacky rigged stick worm in green pumpkin
  21. What? There's naked yoga on YouTube? BRB...... lol
  22. This. I closely monitor what youtube channels my 8 year old watches.
  23. When I started fishing for bass heavily I heard the color "watermelon" and I would always think it was a red color with black flake, you know, because when you think of watermelon you think of the edible part of the melon, not the rind. Then when I went to buy a bag of worms or craws in that color I didn't see it in the bags of red baits. When I realized it was green and not red it didn't make much sense to me. That said, I've never had much luck with watermelon colored baits, and I've had a ton of luck with green pumpkin with whatever color flake in them.
  24. I’ve had good luck on sunny days with GP with gold flake
  25. Here too. Berkley Fusion19 weedless wacky hook or Owner mosquito non-weedless. I always use an o-ring or a hair band in the middle.
