  1. Same for me. The place is heaven on Earth.
  2. Good luck with that. Sorry to hear of your troubles, but thanks for the heads up. I hope you gave them an ear full.
  3. you can use a heavier gauge fluoro leader. I have some built ones for musky and I have a few Spro ones that I use for swimbaiting. Steel or titanium will work too. Id advise using one of the above unless money is no object. Hudds add up quick.
  4. I just got one over winter to pair with a Core100 mg7. I am dying to use mine. It will be a huge upgrade from my lower end rods.
  5. Neither are an upgrade from Koppers imo. Pad crahers are a nice budget frog and will catch a ton. But they can all walk just as easily as the next. Its more of a skill set than anything. Get a Koppers field mouse if you want to focus strictly on a walking hollow body topwater.
  6. Well if it helps you any, I was by Bangs Lake on March 29th and it was still frozen solid, so I'd imagine everything else up that way is still locked up. Unless we get an incredible heat way across WI/Northern IL , we may be iced out for WI opener. Launch your boat off 90 down on the Fox. I'll fish with you for a few hours.
  7. You serious Clark? Whats the status of the Chain in terms of ice and possible fish kill? So far the reports up by my place haven't shown anything really terrible (yet). Still a ton of ice though. 15-20inches
  8. Stained/muddy water. Night. It's the same concept as fishing a black/blue jig. I'm sure it will catch fish in clear water too.
  9. I thought you were going to hit the reservations with a spear gun and go harvesting.......
  10. Can't wait to see the devastation of fish kill in Wisconsin....
  11. Halle-freakin-lluja.
  12. Choked it!. Nice man
  13. Pit boss, SK Rodent, Rage Craw
  14. x2. Awesome in weed cut channels, weed edges or in areas before the lilys are in full strength. My 2 frog rods will have a spittin Wa and LTarget for the thick stuff.
  15. I have a Keel Guard, and it doesn't get any easier to put it on than it was. Its been on my boat for 5 seasons with no sign of peeling or serious wear and that includes beaching my boat in sand occasionally. A monkey is capable of doing it so you should be just fine considering you're human.
  16. American Horror Story and Vikings
  17. Good fish brother. Way to go! Still dealing with ice up by us.
  18. Havoc and Zoom. If you buy a bottle of Mend-it, you'll triple the life in just about all the plastics you own.
  19. growing up in that era, ive heard that my whole life. Lol
  20. I haven't used it yet myself. I just picked it up about 2 weeks ago. Frog Turds (Br member) and myself will be having a river smallie showdown with those hopefully. Pretty neat little lure. The hooks are junk so I put on split rings and better hooks on mine. Frog Turds will most likely sling his into a tree first cast. Yeah man don't lose those lures. Make yourself a nice shadowbox wall hanger and put it in your man cave or whatever you got. Nice little display to hold onto your grandpa's memories in.
  21. heres a newer tiny crawler. Yours looks pretty old. Pretty neat to find his old stuff.
  22. I use it and it will throw 1-6oz baits. Its rated up to 4 but you can go heavier. It gets the job done and doesn't break the bank. I wouldn't use it for anything other than swimbaits.
  23. No key to your vault of amazing liquors?
