X-Calibur Xcs 200 And 300 At Gander Mtn
Cabelas had the same deal a couple weeks ago. Except I think they were right at the $4 mark. Could be my much inflated living area...

Because if it looks like a meal, they'll eat it. Bass will eat anything or try if it fits in their mouth.

What Are The Advantages Of Fluoro Over Mono ?
agreed. Ive had 15# Red Label on a 200e5 for two seasons. It's far from premium line. KVD L&L does wonders to fluoro.

Is Swimbait Color, Or Profile More Important?
They are both equally as important. A lot of it would depend on the forage your lakes have. I would make a note of your gear, consider going to the Cardiff 300. You'll want more line capacity than what the 200 offers with line sizes up around 17# or bigger. Just my .02 If you're referring to small swimbaits like a Keitech or Shadalicous, then what you were getting is fine. My comments above are for the 5"+ / 2oz and bigger type of swimbaits. Hard and soft.

I was able to find a baby hardgill over the winter on Ebay. I check daily for regulars and baby. Far and few, if I see one I'll give you the heads up but probably buy it for myself and tell you about it after. lol jk

Curado
Its not going to be as smooth as a reel of respectable comparison, that's had 1 or 2 years on the water experience. Give it a few outings and break it in, I bet you'll speak differently. My Ci4 out of the box isn't as smooth as my 200e7, but I haven't even fished the Ci4 yet. My e7 has about 3+ seasons now and has been cleaned and lubed once each season, sometimes twice. They need some lovin' to break out the true potential based off my new reel experiences.

First Siebert Outdoors Order
At least the OP knows its true from more than 1 source. that's a great thing. Mike's popularity on these forums have increased 10 fold since I've been a member, especially in the past 6-8 months.

What Is A Long Cast?
I agree 100%, with the exception of maybe fishing weightless plastics in a very clear shallow lake. Distance is good there. People in general are terrible at estimating distances and weights. To have an eye like that and be right more than 90% of the time is a gifted talent. Anything over 30-35yds casting is plenty long.

First Siebert Outdoors Order
The website says 8-10 business days for orders. Based off my order history and Mike's ability to crank these out, I'd suspect you'd get them sooner. I'm sure Mike will chime in to tell you.

Look for a 3:16 jr wake or fs shad. Good start there. Have fun!

Fluorescent Baits?
Guessing its a citrus shad color crank. Good in stained water.

Where are all the Illinois Guys ?
Well, now I don't feel so bad of my first and only skunk outing. Did "1" bass get them in money?

Weedless, Brush Jig With Braid. Best Knot?
Palomar. What size braid are you using? Sounds like you snapped the line from casting too hard. Braid= 0 shock absorbence.

Dobyns Champion Help?
Consider the size and weight of your trailer added to the jig weight. Commonly over looked.

Rage Bug! Whoa!
This summer they start marketing them according to another thread on here. Answered from Big O himself. Looks like a solid bait. Excited to try it out too.

Where are all the Illinois Guys ?
Did a 3 hour wade on the Fox River yesterday. Nothing to report at all. Didnt see any fish and didn't see any bucket heads pulling anything either. Most excitement was losing two lures to snags.

Crank Rod Necessary?
Toliet paper isn't necessary but it's the best application for the job. Do you want to have the best, or do you want to get by? That's up for you to decide.

Degreasing Reel Bearings
4oz is plenty for what I need. And gas is more expensive than PS so the convenience of having HD less than 2 minutes away works for me. Regardless of price it works great. I was simply listing another good product for the purpose.

Degreasing Reel Bearings
I tried Krud Kutter (home depot) for the first time over the weekend. Worked really well and seems to be very similar makeup to Perfect Solution. I just got a 4oz bottle for around $2.

Check Your Local Wallyworld
Paul, Cabelas has a bin for $3.99 on Rapala assortments and Storm. Everything from DT-6/DT-10's to Clacklin Rap, Clacklin Minnows, Husky jerks and more. They also had Excalibur square bills at $4.00 each which I snagged a handful but plenty left there.
