  1. Congrats! Can't wait to take my boys fishing when they get big enough! Those pics are wall hangers right there.
  2. State- Wisconsin Water Depth- 2-3 fow Lure/Technique- Scum Frog (white with green spots) Structure/Cover- Lily Pads Weight and/or Length-2.5" Frog Length: 24" Weight 7lbs Picture-
  3. us FIB's gotta stick together.
  4. Correct, i never start my fishing in Wisconsin until season starts but many do. I'll be up there this opener. And for what it's worth, Wisconsin DNR is awful at what they do. Prime example, the BASS Green Bay tournament last year. If you don't know about it, read and you'll understand what I mean. Not just that instance, but some of their decisions on lakes and weed management and everything else is just mind boggling.
  5. Easy. I make the switch while the lure is in flight. I normally have my hand on the crank before the entrance in the water. I have tried lefty reels but im more comfortable working the rod in my left hand.
  6. Hooah, first saturday in May is correct. Been this way for a very long time. It sucks because April during ice out can produce some monsters.
  7. Just had some thin crust with sausage, bacon, green pepper, and onion. Tree Guys pizza. Good stuff
  8. No fruit on pizza. Yes ive tried it, doesn't belong.
  9. I bc right and spinning retrieve right. The loss of time/feel on switch is hogwash. I've never had issues catching fish.
  10. About 500 miles northeast you'll hit Chicago. Let me know when you get here.
  11. Get some popcorn and visit the video section. Grab a pen and paperfor notes. You're going to learn a lot. Enjoy!
  12. Dont own any Hudds so i cant comment there. I will say id never buy a lure that doesn't come with hooks. That's just me.
  13. Do you actually make that adjustment yourself JFrancho? I've never even thought about toying with it. I guess I don't understand the full concept of why you would want to. Care to elaborate more than the diagram?
  14. I had the same thing earlier this year. The guide insert on an old rod popped out at some point. I toyed with the idea of fixing it myself, but I found a local guy that replaced it for me. If you have a rod builder local or even a tackle shop you can see if they'll service it for you. I'd much rather someone who's experienced handle that stuff.
  15. On Wednesday afternoon, a fourth-grade teacher announces to her class, "Children, I'm going to ask you a question, and if anyone can answer it correctly, they can take tomorrow off from school." Of course, this gets the immediate and undivided attention of all the students. They lean forward in their chairs and listen intently. "All right," says the teacher, "here is the question: How many grains of sand are there on the beach at the Oak Street beach?" Needless to say, none of the children knows the answer. The following day, the teacher says, "If you can answer today's question correctly, you may take tomorrow off from school. The question is: How many drops of water are there in the Lake Michigan?" The children sit in silence, frustrated by the second impossibly difficult question. Dirty Johnny, sitting in the back of the class, is particularly annoyed. "I'm gonna fix her,' he thinks. That night, he goes home and paints two golf balls black. Friday, the teacher says, "Okay, here is today's question..." But before she can get it out, Dirty Johnny rolls the two painted golf balls to the front of the room. With a loud clatter, the golf balls hit the wall right below the blackboard. Startled, the teacher looks around the room and says, "All right, who's the comedian with the black balls?" "Eddie Murphy," Johnny replies. "I'll see ya Tuesday.
  16. I have the 6'8 M/XF in the Avid line. I use it for wacky style and smaller finesse worms. The rod is dynamite and well worth the money.
  17. I shut mine while charging as well. Never really thought twice of it but would be interested to hear if there are any horror stories about that.
  18. I hope it didn't set you back too much. The fact that it comes without hooks would be a red flag for me. The pour looks hand carved for sure. Ya never know, could end up to be a golden ticket. Let us know how you do if you fish it.
  19. Deep Dish is referred to Chicago style. Also thin crust Chicago is cut in squares, where NY thin is cut into giant triangles like JFrancho mentioned. By the way John, I saw that place you're talking about on either Anthony Bourdain or Man Vs Food. I can't remember but it was insanity how big the piece was. Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, Little Casears, Dominos................don't count. You might as well go to the freezer section and buy a Tombstone or DiGiorno.
  20. My guess is tie to front split ring...hook up a topside treble on the back? Where did you stumble on this thing?
  21. This thread is really making me hungry for pizza now. Pizza never gets old. If you're ever in the area please get a hold of me. We must break you from this curse....
  22. I like thin, pan, and deep dish. Not a fan of extra thin. Reminds me of eating a fancy cracker. Topping favorites are pepperoni, bacon, green pepper, and mushroom. Crushed red pepper and some parmasean grated cheese on top.
  23. Southern IL or southern US? I've been to Missouri, Kentucky, Tenn, Arkansas, Florida...just never in a Wally World there. So it's a location thing I suppose. Being that we have 2 Bass Pros, Cableas, and mulitiple DSG in driving distances...I guess that would explain why our Wally worlds have junk.
  24. Yea that was discussed already with them. I was just curious on the time frame of the two companies working it out. Because until my insurance company gets the money back from her insurance, I won't see my deductible back. It's only $500 so not the end of the world, but it's still money I had to pay out of my pocket and I shouldn't have had to. Plus my SUV is due for tires.....and I could use the cash for that expense.
  25. Thanks for the input. Hiring a lawyer to just gain back my deductible seems like more money than worth the trouble. What could I even sue her/ or her insurance on?
