  1. I don't know about those companies but i know St Croix has their gold star service where it doesn't matter if you are the original owner or not.
  2. they need to put it together quick because in 2-3 years the sixers will be right there at the top....mark my words. I like Lebron and have always respected him for his attitude and selfless play. I hope he does well, except against the sixers
  3. yeah i have but i am pretty sure no ocean fish live in freshwater so your argument is irrelevant. I get the hand being sore piece but to be physically fatigued from fishing is funny to me....sure being out in the heat and on your feet al lady can bother some people but the actual act of fishing has bothered me one time and that was the first time i went out and used my 7wt fly rod with a full sinking line, that was a tiring day but more because of bad technique that was fixed for the next day's outing.
  4. LOL...fatigue from reeling, that is funny in and of itself.
  5. It's all good....I completely agree and am surprised they didn't win more rings but i guess that is how it goes sometimes. I thought for sure the phillies would have won more than one in their 5 year or so run too....
  6. Ouch.....I agree on a given night that good pitching can silence some bats but not many teams can shut down a good offensive team for an entire series no matter who is in the rotation.
  7. Utley has always been a fan favorite and the guy plays the game like it should be played so he deserves the accolades......of course this is coming from a biased Phillies fan
  8. I have 8lb diameter braid on a few of my bait casters and have no issues.
  9. He is starting at DH or so i thought.....i am glad to see Utley in there again
  10. Well good luck but the first thing i would suggest is to make sure you are telling the truth about your Facebook page......I see 1,763 "likes" which is a far cry from 5,000. Personally if i am a giving out sponsorship spots I would not tolerate dishonesty or be more clear with how they are reaching 5,000 people.
  11. For flat water use i have yet to find a boat that surpasses the versatility of a hybrid boat. I have a commander 120 myself and it is easy to get on top of my wrangler if you have the right technique, which is the same for every boat out there really. I like hybrid style myself because the stability is better than any SOT and much easier to stand in to fish or stretch your legs. The only way i am getting rid of the commander is if i move to a pedal kayak and even then, i still may keep it
  12. So has it been established that this is one of the best troll posts ever? I mean a lot of talk and stories and pics that could easily be taken yet never posted.....it does provide some entertainment though.
  13. no matter what series $44 is a great price....
  14. I have been kayak fishing for about 5 years or so now and i haven't really noticed much of a difference in my hook setting success. I am pretty vigilant about having sticky sharp hooks though. I also use braid pretty mud exclusively so i don't have to worry about line stretch either. Once you get a little more comfortable in your kayak you will find you can set the hook however you want in whatever position for the most part. I have never flipped any of my kayaks while setting a hook from various different positions.
  15. No issues at all. I have used both M and MH rods for frogs with 30lb braid and have had no issues.
  16. Doesn't shock me at all.....my 4 year old has been known to clear out our downstairs as it wafts down our hallway and into the living room. I told him to use the fan when he is in there and he says no daddy, it is too noisy. The kid eats a lot of fruit veggies so that may be the culprit.....
  17. good job man, keep it up
  18. With the weather being pretty dang nice I decided to go on a longer ride today and try and break the 50 mile mark. Ended up doing 52.5 miles at a 16.5 MPH pace so I am pleased. Still have a decent amount of work to do in the next two months to get up to the speed I would like but even if I don't accomplish that, I am pretty confident I could do the event next weekend if i had to. http://www.mapmyride.com/workout/634478481 http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Bike/VARBikeEvents?px=4544103&pg=personal&fr_id=22247
  19. Sounds like you haven't done as much research as you think.......What have you researched?
  20. I have seen quite a few shows on TV where they are punching lillys. For me though you can usually work a bait through the lillys unless they are extremely heavy then you may have to resort to punching.
  21. Totally worth the money to get a good pair for a few reasons. One the optics are better and even more so if you are bumping up to a glass lens. Then there is the protection from flying projectiles which is even more important than optics. You never know when you'll set the hook and have it pop free and come back at you.
  22. All depends on what all i have going on that day. I haven't found too many days to be that productive when i am on the water 12-14 hours unless they involve a good bit of paddling. I get to for whatever time i can and have spent a few hours walking the bank of a local pond or wading a stream for smallies. If I am fishing for brookies in the mountains, that is generally an all day affair and I usually end up hiking out by headlamp.
  23. Completely different bait. Zoom dos make a paddle tail fluke which is somewhat similar but it is not a twitch bait, it has a boot tail that provides a lot of vibration. I rig mine on a weighted screwlock hook. The places i fish that are similar i usually try and fish it at a speed that i can feel the bait ticking the tops of the grass or sometimes i just run it a little deeper, really it depends on what the fish are telling you on that particular day.
  24. Hollow belly soft swim bait like a yum money minnow works for me in those types of conditions.
  25. I don't mind the heat for the most part but by the time i got out it was already high 90's and windy as crap. I lost about 4lbs in straight water weight and i was pretty well hydrated. I am just glad i took the advice of my gut and didn't go for a long ride as I am sure i would have been even more dehydrated. Going for a long ride tomorrow morning....might even try to go to 75miles but going to at least do 50.
