That is an entirely different question and depending on what type of kayak a person owns, you will see different answers. To me, pedal power is absolutely an advantage otherwise people wouldn't be paying top dollar for a pedal drive kayak and everyone would just pedal. The hands free aspect is part of the equation but so is sustained speed and using larger muscle groups throughout the day which will keep you fresher all day long. The counter argument you will always hear is well they can't get as shallow, which is true too.

it is the same thing as if you paddle only on one side. You have to offset that force somehow or get the mount more in line with the center of the boat.

Depending on where you fish and your budget should dictate your decision. A PA can't really be paddled except in an emergency meaning if you ever go to rivers or shallower water it won't be as useful. They are both pretty big boats but that PA is a real big boat and loading and unloading can be an issue depending on your transportation situation. You are going to start to see a lot of boats come up on the used market as people are looking to upgrade so if it was me, i'd research a little more, go to a demo days or two and figure out what you really want and wait for the right deal.

Being a fly fisherman dealing with multi piece rods is a normal occurrence. I had an old guy teach me probably 20 years ago to just take your finger and run it over your nose and take some of the "oil" off there and put it on the male end. Put the rod together with a quarter twist and it won't come free and it will also not get stuck. it has worked for me and it is what i always do and have no issues.

Are you a Patriots fan now? I thought you were a Cowboys fan but it is always hard to tell because Cowboys fans generally disappear when their team is losing....

weightless soft plastics

I checked them out and they aren't much cheaper than any other boat really. I also had a tough time finding anywhere saying that they were made in the USA.

I like to cook and i like to make italian as well. I love making fresh pasta and sauces. I'm also a big an of using my smoker but i am against sauces for the most part. I prefer to dry rub and let the taste of the meat come through, not the taste of the sauce. My favorite thing to make on the smoker is shredded beef sandwiches, which is probably what i am going to make on super bowl sunday.

All of these stories are thee reason why i never get any statements mailed to me unless i have to nor do i get anything emailed to me either. If i can't log in to their website to see statements etc...there is a good chance i will be finding another company to do business with.

Keep an eye on the used market. People are always trying to upgrade and unload their old stuff. One thing I will say is it is worth waiting for the right deal or saving up a little longer. There is also going to demo days where first off you can paddle a bunch of boats and second there are usually good deals to be had. good luck in your search!!

6 or 8lb diameter braid for me. Best action, best hookset and i have yet to see a difference in getting hits when compared to flouro.

Wentz isn't getting traded...Foles, he might or he might want to just stay in philly as a backup. He contemplated retiring but wanted to come to philly. Wentz is better than Foles but Foles is no slouch, he just needs better coaching than he had once he left philly. Oh and that Vikings #1 defense, yeah about that.... @A-Jay you got your wish as well as mine..... now to wait two weeks and hear how we have no shot....again just like we had no shot the past two weeks too and we dismantled Atlanta and Minnesota, which ironically enough are the same two teams we beat (different order) to get to our last super bowl berth. Gonna be a good game for sure.

They have them here in the James and the Shenandoah as well but I know it takes time and effort to go for them and it is hard for me to stop chasing the brown and green bass

Musky on the fly is one of my bucket list fish for sure, along with Peacock bass in the amazon

My problem is when chasing LM on the fly rod i love it but there are just certain situations where conventional is more effective, again no purist here lol I do love fishing some lilly pads with the long rod though. This year i am going to try it at night....I just worry about the bats because i have had to unhook one of those before, not fun lol

I do the same thing with mega strike too As far as soft plastic goes you need something that is a pretty hardy plastic. I have used junior flukes rigged weightless with the hook exposed. I have also done them wacky rigged with an o ring. I would also bet that baits like elaztech would be awesome. I also have some 4" stick worms that were double dipped with clear plastic in the head area and i can nose hook those. One thing that does help is to slow down your cast and open up your loops but you are right, you will fling off a bunch of plastics. I also wonder if a drop or two of super glue would help keep them on the hook as well. I have a few ideas i am going to try this year.... I also wonder if you could use one of those screw locks into the nose of a soft plastic and just run the hook throw the opening. I bet that would work well too

I was working in and guiding at a local fly shop when the gummy minnow came out. Many of the fishing purists would scoff at it when they came in the shop as they touted the only way to fly fish was dry flies. Depending on my mood and how well i knew the customer i would always retort with well you know the first fly tied wasn't a dry fly at all so you really aren't being that pure. The gummy minnow and it's materials are bow used everywhere. I know i heard flack from people for using synthetics in my posts and wings on my dries instead of the traditional calf hair. All i would say is i'd rather not have to reapply floating as often so i am going to use the best materials possible. As far as scent goes, I am all for it. I love the innovation and fly fishing to me isn't what is on the end of the line as much as the delivery. I even throw weightless soft plastics on my fly rod and do quite well. There is no scent that will turn fish into a feeding frenzy that i have seen but if it did they could charge a premium for it, especially to the conventional fisherman crowd.

They have been around for 30+ years and they have the same coverage they have had for at least the past 7 years i have been watching them so I am not sure what it is. I also know the collector car market isn't as strong as it once was too so maybe its a combination of that and wanting it to grow.

When did they go to a reserve auction? I swear I remember that being one of their go to deals...my thoughts are they aren't doing as well as they were in the past since i am also seeing ads for the upcoming auctions and them wanting cars, which i never saw before either.
