The Scimitar rod is a 2 piece 6'6" medium.

I got an award at work and I can use it to buy merchandise out of some online catalogue or change it in for a $100 gift card. There is a rod/reel combo the Shimano Callisto 100 Reel with a Shimano Scimitar rod... Is this a good combo, or should I get the Gift Card?

Bandits are hard to beat, they are an all around great lure. The Bandit 100 dives 0-4 feet, and comes in a ton of colors. The Bandit Footloose dives 0-1 feet, and can be a great little wake bait. The best thing is they are cheaper than 95% of the other cranks out there, but made very well. I have equal or better luck with Bandits than with every other crank, including the expensive ones.

Judging from the pic, my favorite album would be the one where they got rounded up and thrown into a Mexican prison with no food or water for two weeks...

Most people find the Spro Bronze Eye Frog to be the best floating frog. A lot of folks trim the skirting on the back by a half inch or so to get better hookups.

And of course, Weird Al Yankovic.

x5, 6, and 7 too... I won't buy the new one. The last four or five have been so boring. It isn't Metallica anymore, it's like they are trying to copy whatever is currently hot in music in an attempt to stay relevant. The clincher was St Anger. It was so bad that I couldn't even believe it. All I could hear was Christopher Walkin on SNL saying "More Cow Bell"... Dreadful stuff... I think the new song is another so-so attempt...

You catch bait with a sabiki rig. You could use it to catch little bream and baby bass if you want those for some reason... Buy a few bags of culprit worms from walmart and go to work with those instead.

I love Amon Amarth, but some of their lyrics bother me... LOG=Lamb of God, right? Anyone listen to Iced Earth? Guitarist Jon Shaffer might be my current favorite. He also has a side project Demons and Wizards with the lead singer of Blind Guardian. Awesome band, I haven't found too much else that I really like these days.

Dubai is building a huge multi-island replica of the world where each island is a country or part of a country. It could be there.

I used to use the screw in weights, but have begun using the Parasite Weights as well. Much better, and the worm lasts longer because the Parasite keeps it from slipping down the hook.

I was always having the same problem. Now I just keep my hooks in their original packages - most good hooks have a resealable bag. Then I just put them in size order and wrap them in a rubber band.
