  1. I actually got it for $18 less than my bid. So, I think your theory is possible or whoever else was bidding pulled their bid. Brian.
  2. Was on ebay and was watching a Poison Adrena. I was messing around trying to figure out how much the other bidders highest price was. I submitted a bid and it instantly told me to resubmit as I was outbid. I DIDN'T resubmit a higher bid and actually got a message stating I missed out on this one. A few seconds later I got a message saying I won the auction. So, I have another Poison Adrena headed my way. Brian.
  3. I agree completely with Mike. It all hinges on what part of the country you live in. What I'd throw in PA in November is completely different than what I'm throwing on the Big O. It's definitely not a one size fits all. Brian.
  4. My bud uses 2- Shimano Chronarch G's in the salt all the time and just loves them. I use 6 of them in my Florida kit just in case he talks me into inshore a bit. Brian.
  5. Had a great day on the Susky Thursday. That's my Bud Mike and Barry. Mike is a full time Guide on the River and has been a great Friend for 15+ years. Barry has been my Friend forever and just started Bass fishing 2 years ago, these were his first Smallies and he was impressed. Just a fantastic day. Brian.
  6. Walk the line off your reel to the knot, pinch the line between your fingers just behind the stripper guide, I like to use a piece of folded paper towel soaked with L&L to pinch the line, reel it back on with some tension. If you're on a boat, just let the line out behind the boat and reel back on with tension. Brian.
  7. Line twist. Untwist your line and check your line roller for proper operation. Brian.
  8. I thought it was mono/fluoro that warped/distorted spools. Berkley X-9. Brian. Dang it Bulldog.
  9. Spool your line up tightly, put ALL 6 brakes on, adjust your cast control to remove side to side in your spool, turn your dial to max and go out and let her rip. If you can backlash like that, send the reel back, it don't work. If it doesn't backlash, turn your dial down a number at a time till it does. If it doesn't the entire way to minimum start disengaging some brake blocks and do it again with your dial. Rinse and repeat. Brian.
  10. Come fall I'll be hammering them on that exact bait on Rip Rap. If they won't smash that one I'll switch to orange/brown back. It's always one or the other. Brian.
  11. I use 2-17 Scorpions and 2-21 Scorpions. I enjoy using them immensely. I've never experienced the issues I've read about from others. All 4 will flat out bomb a 1/2oz. Lipless and I can go directly to throwing a weightless 4" Stickbait. I also enjoy using all my other reels also, they're just extra(different) tools in the box. Brian.
  12. ARK Tharp Money Maker. Brian
  13. Grande Bass Mega Tail? Brian.
  14. Shimano 50E Series. Had 28 of them at one time, down to 2 now. Brian.
  15. I use a 6101-1 DSR. It's a great, fun rod to use. I have an Aldebaran BFS reel on it and run 2 spools. One has 8lb. Tatsu on it the other 6lb. McCoy Extra Clear. I throw about any light presentation on it. Cranks, spinnerbaits, small paddletails, finesse worms, finesse jigs, etc., etc.. Brian.
  16. I believe KTF brings these reels out every now and then also, Shimano and Daiwa. Megabass reels are just tuned Daiwa's. Brian.
  17. I don't throw Squarebills in wood, only rock. I prefer a mh/fast, 12-17 lb. Copoly or flouro, 6:something to 1 reel speed. I think it gives me better control of deflection and less hangups. I have absolutely no problems with hooking or landing fish. Brian.
  18. I keep like color used plastics in gallon buckets. When I get a full bucket I wash them up, remelt them and shoot them into new baits. Brian.
  19. My Lil Ethel Mae, Old English Bulldog. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but loves me to the moon and back.
  20. 3M Ultra Fine Scotchbrite pad. Brian.
  21. I've used Marine Spar Urethane for years. Can easily be sanded down to smooth and reapply. Doesn't get slick when wet either. Brian.
