I have never used the Rattlin one . It might work the same . The ones I used are balsa with no rattles . It appears they are not being made now . I'm interested in getting a couple of these rattlin ones myself .

A Bagleys Honey B is my crankbait of choice under those conditions .

Way back when i used a 5'6" mh rod for jigs with weed guards . I crossed their eyes . If you cant get a good hook set with todays equipment then you are doing it wrong .

I throw spinnerbaits a lot and I dont use trailers .

I dont know how to skip with a baitcaster either . It might be the crafts I fish from . My boat has a six inch hand rail that gets in the way and the john boat has the gun wells . I once stuffed a Johnson silver minnow inside a tube jig and could skip it well under docks but that was with a spinning combo .

Besides the three knives I carry on me ,on my box satchel I keep a set of hemostats ,needled nose pliers , side snips and split ring pliers . There are holders built-in to accommodate some tools . For the last two years I have carried a Fish-Grip . I use that plastic fish grip a lot .

I bought three hundred 8 inch blue jelly worms because they were so cheap . I dont even know the size hook i use on them , i just know they are sufficient .A 4.0 or 5.0 I presume .Texas rigged, bass eat them like candy.

My dad is sill alive bit unable to fish at all . I had a camp on the river and would set him there in the evenings with the st louis cardinals on the radio . We would catch carp and catfish . He slowly got worse . I would tie the hooks , put on the bait , cast it .He finally couldnt even hold the rod anymore but he enjoyed being there . This is the last photo I have of him catching a fish, seven years ago . This might be the last big fish he caught . It got to where he would just sit there and stare . Dementia is a horrible disease .

Deep Wee R is a fish getter . The one fault is the hook hangers are to close allowing the hooks to tangle .I would like to see the DWR brought back with a better placement of hooks .

I tend to overlook this lure but it has caught a lot of bass for me . I like to use it on rip rap banks on the Mississippi river . I stand on the rocks cast up-stream and bring it back slightly faster than the current . Then cast it out in deeper water , still up-stream let it touch bottom , pop it off bottom and reel retrieve it right off the bottom . I have caught a lot of species doing that . I'll lose a few but they are cheap .

Spinnerbait and jig definitely . I prefer a lipped crank over the lipless though . Who is this guy anyhow ? Some wannabe ? ?

You have an old Leatherman , the new ones you dont have to open to get the blade out and they are one hand opening . I always take mine and it has a diamond file that is an excellent hook sharpener . I have even skinned catfish with it . I'm a knife junky and always carry a Swiss Army Knife and a cheap Sanrenmu 710 too. That Sanrenmu is a decent knife for the money spent .

What dont you understand ? Mono doesnt cut flesh like braid . Thats what the question is about , what frog would work best with my current setups . I'm limited to the number of rods I can take and am not going to purchase a frog rod . I got the answers I wanted . I have no problem pulling bass out of this stuff with my existing outfits .

My favorite places at night are shallow flats , back of coves ,points and riprap because I can mostly fish without the fear of hanging up . Buzzbaits , spinnerbaits , texas rigs and crankbaits all work well for me . I have a hard time fishing cover such as brush piles because I usually dont know they are there until it is too late .

Nice selections and change . I changed my whole team one time and bombed . The original team did so good that I doubt if anybody would believe me . So I have been sticking with my first picks ever since and they have stunk . lol

My cousin took polygraph after we won a large event . One of us had to take it and he volunteered . The bad part is we were accused of fishing in an off limits area and I dont believe polygraphs work anyway . We were ten miles from the questionable area . He passed it . I still dont think the things work .

Brandon Lester . He doesnt live that far away and was either snubbed or turned down the invite to the More Little Fish league . I'm pulling for him .

I'm in last place counting everyone who played the first two events . I spent the last five minutes grueling over my classic picks and here they are.

Post spawn , those big females stop at the first points of cover away from their spawning areas . Sometimes at the mouths of coves . I think its the easiest time of the year to catch a big bag . One of my favorite lures is the Bomber Long A minnow or the the discontinued Bomber Prop A . I have a lifetime supply of those Prop A's .Theres a lot of retrieves that work . Let it set still, short twitches , straight retrieve or the one I caught my biggest 6 bass limit on twitching it as fast as I can and still having it at the surface .
