  1. I would enjoy that .
  2. I had a largemouth bass in an aquarium . He ate all the darters and minnows . I put him in there when it was not much bigger than a minnow and he still was able to eat the other fish . Their tails would be sticking out of his mouth . LOL I had it for about a year then released it , too try and have a better community . Green sunfish and bluegills were even more viscous . I actually had two small sturgeons and the bluegills sucked the eyeballs off their heads . Drum were good pets and ate commercial food . Every time i introduced another fish , they would have parasites and I had to treat the tank . I had a channel cat ,a bullhead and a crawfish at one time . It actually was a lot of fun . Crappie didnt do well . I would seine specimens from streams and creeks .
  3. I dont select lures for the purpose of catching large bass . I select lures that will allow me to effectively fish the cover and structure I encounter . The larger bass will come .That said I have never caught a 9 lb bass either , so I might be doing it wrong.
  4. I have attempted to make a top water lure that would backup when twitched . It is carved out just havent put it through the test yet. It still needs some tail weight and hardware added to it . It probably wont work .
  5. Man , I would like to have one of those Italian lamps .
  6. I havent tried the stupid rig yet and in these photos it appears the hook is too long .It reaches the tentacles and cannot be pushed through the main body . Am I wrong ?
  7. I think the average fisherman is better than the average guy 40 years ago . There is so much info on the internet . Even on the small lakes I fish I see more and more anglers out fishing the deep points that use to receive little pressure .
  8. I tried to replace it twice but keep going back to it . The handle is shorter than on other rods and doesnt get in the way . Most rod have too long a handle for me .
  9. My worm and jig rod does not say worm and jig . It reads 6'8" MH .
  10. Thats how I usually rig them but want to try this stupid set-up next year .
  11. I have a 22 foot Lowe and dont use it that much . I fish from a 14 foot jon boat the most. Also have a canoe and a plastic Bass baby with built in wheels . I can fish anybody of water my truck can pull up to . One of my best spots is an irrigation ditch that I have never seen another boat fishing . Heres one caught from the ditch .
  12. I think I still have a couple of those . They are short arms and not the Bass Busters .
  13. A lot of places its near impossible to fish from the bank .
  14. I take one fishing almost every trip . It gets used for a lot of lures . I'll have a spinnerbait and lipless crankbait tied on it a lot .

I even use to wear a straw hat . I wore that thing out .
  17. That would work and you could always double up on weights if a different weight is wanted .
  18. At 13:20 Hank says when he gets the spinnerbait to the end of the tree to just lets it fade away . Thats a good tip . I do it instinctively anymore . Just lower the rod slowly and slow down the retrieve . You dont have to stop it and let it flutter , though thats a good tactic too . Thats why the most important part of a spinnerbait [ in my opinion ] is the swivel .Cheap swivels just dont cut it .
  19. Jimmy Houston , Roland Martin , KVD , Rick Clunn come to mind .

I like the appearance of those but look like they would be hot .
  21. I bet Catt , WRB and Road Warrior could take a 1 ounce Krocodile spoon to a pond and catch bass with it . Thats not the type of water it was designed for though . I havent even caught bass in a lake with that particular spoon and I have tried . Stanley Mitchell won a classic with it .
  22. I've done a lot of rip rap fishing both from boat and shore . From shore I like to use inexpensive sinking baits like a jig and grub . I'll fan cast it and let it fall to the bottom . Once it touches down I pop it and then retrieve trying to keep it just off the bottom . That way it stays right over the rocks the entire retrieve . Snags are inevitable so I tend to go cheap . Once I'm finished in one spot I move several yards and repeat . From boat I use a wide variety of lures . Crankbaits , buzzbaits , spinnerbaits and a variety of soft plastics . I usually parallel cast at the depth that is getting action ..
  23. I googled that and didnt find anything fishing related
  24. I pay no attention to the moon phase what-so-ever during day light outings .
