  1. Looks like the Matzuo I have . Works well with the bigger Sassy shads .
  2. Motor Oil use to be one of my top three colors . Black grape , blue and motor oil .
  3. Maybe the lizards in the pond are not edible .
  4. I'm re-dooing this one .
  5. Although the Manns Jelly worm is my all time favorite , I do have a problem with line twist . Manns made the Jelly Wiggler that looked like Mister Twister Phenom . Rigged tail down , no more line twist . I still use the Jelly worm a lot because i have several hundred of them but the Phoenom style gives me less of a head-ache .
  6. 6 inch Manns Jelly Worm .
  7. I havent used tubes a lot but when I have , they caught fish . I want to get in to the stupid rig this year for use on baitcasting . I'm open for suggestions on stupid heads and tubes .
  8. Being Uncle Josh pork frogs are no longer made I will go with the twin tail grub too .
  9. Bouncing lures off the bottom is my strongest area but not my favorite way to fish . I absolutely love throwing buzzbaits .
  10. I'm best at fishing bottom bouncing lures . Soft plastics , metal lures , lipless crankbaits ...
  11. I fish a lake where the water level always stays within a foot or two . The bass come shallow if the water is muddy . I have a hunch bass dont like to live where there in no visibility . I use to have a light meter on a probe and there could be very little light just five foot down .
  12. No . Deep bass eat too . Usually muddy water brings fish shallow . Your definition of muddy and mine might be different things . One to Two inches of visibility , now thats muddy .
  13. I have some five inch grubs by Riverside . Once when fishing for river smallmouths I had one rigged on a light jig head . I started buzzing it across the surface and the brownies slammed it for an hour or so .
  14. I'm a big fan of the Rapala Fat Rap . All of mine work but one works better . Its a little heavier , cast a little better and has a stronger and tighter vibration .
  15. I like to find steep , south facing banks . Hit them in the afternoon when the sun has been on them for awhile . Parallel cast crawdad colored crankbaits on said banks . Retrieve super slow . A good way to catch a big one . I use an Arbogast Mudbug but any crank will probably work . It doesnt have to be a flat side , tight action lure . A Bomber Model A should be a good choice .
  16. 5 inch grubs are great on a Carolina rig too . Kalins had a color called Witches Brew which was brown and chartreuse tail . It really worked well on a Carolina rig out on the points .
