  1. I dont know how much color matters . I catch lots of bass from 15 to 23 foot with Fire tiger and others patterns with chartreuse in it from stained water .
  2. How else are we suppose to get our vitamin D .
  3. The flu sucks big time . Last spring I had fevers , chills and body aches for a week . I thought it was the flu . Then woke up one morning not being able to pee . I had a non-cancerous tumor in my bladder . It was miserable .
  4. I consider March 1 the first day of spring .
  5. Another Tombstone fan here .
  6. I went dirt fishing today . Found an 1862 british half penny .
  7. When people say " I have a touch of the flu " they dont have the flu .
  8. Wow . You have a much more detailed plan than I ever had .
  9. The water is ice free , the temps have been good but too windy . I'll be fishing before long . Got some kid bugging the heck out of me rearing to go . I gave him a rod n reel and its driving him crazy . Hes never been bass fishing other than walking around a pond .
  10. My favorite bait's for muddy water and I mean 1 inch visibility is a black jig orange trailer and chartreuse spinnerbait that produce lots of thump .
  11. Got my Lanier picks in . When I got to the last two anglers I only had 12 dollars to spend . I was forced to jettison Peter T because of lack of funds ..
  12. What place did you end up ?
  13. When the elm tree leaves are the size of a squirrels ear .
  14. Explain exactly what you are seeing .Are the bass coming completely out of the water frequently " left and right" making a large splash and are these big bass ?
  15. This is a recurring theme . Someone post about bass jumping everywhere and not being able to catch them . Then someone post that this is typical carp behavior . Most of us have never witnessed bass exhibit this phenomena yet people insist that they are bass . Anyway , if it is bass , according to the many posters on this forum who have witnessed it ,they are impossible to catch .
  16. I hate catching drum in a tourney . A couple of times I thought I had big bass won , then comes the rug pull .
  17. Just dont cast out and reel in . If there are any snags , lay downs , pads ,... Fish around them and then in them . Nothing fishes snags as effectively as a Texas rig .
  18. If you know how to fish a texas rig then you know how to fish a jig .
  19. Thats a puzzler . Even the pattern is different .
  20. My team went from bad to worse . I didnt doas bad as James Chipman but he only picked 6 anglers . He must have run out of cash .
  21. I use to fish lots of crawdad patterned crankbaits , especially pre-spawn. Over the years I have lost most and have not replaced them . The Arbogast Mudbug is a favorite and I still have half a dozen . Lots of anglers like tight action flat sided baits during the cold pre-spawn season. I like the wide action of the Mudbug fished parallel to steep banks at an agonizingly slow speed . Its a proven way to catch hawgs .
  22. OK . I boobooed . Dont know why I thought it was LOZ . Speed reading I guess .
  23. When The white bass school up on flats and i'm catching them by the hundreds ,there are almost always channel cats in the mix and sometime blue cats . Cats like Red Eye Shads .
