  1. Steve Rogers has a couple of good Youtube videos. The pitch/skip lesson is a good one.

    Try a tube.
  3. I discovered those hooks and have been satisfied. I use the 3.0 offset a lot. Its a good hook.
  4. I like bream patterned baits around wood and moss in the summer.
  5. I bought one of those without the rod and reels. Got a box of lures. Mostly stamped out spoons. I remember a purple spinnerbait.
  6. Texas rig. Went yesterday caught about 15 bass, 12 of them coming on off shore brush with a Texas rig.

I use to throw the red Jelly worms some but they didnt seem to catch as many fish as Blueberry or black grape. I did like them on Lake of the Ozark bluffs for spotted bass.
  8. Neds and tubes. I'm using tubes a lot lately. They are the best things I have found for riprap banks. They dont get wedged as much. Been experimenting pitching them in cover with good success. I can rig them with a normal offset worm hook. Not have them slide down the hook and get a high hookup ratio. Its still a work in progress.
  9. Depends on the cover. If its a simple laydown with just a few limbs I will fish it well then head out. The more complex , like a brush-pile of fresher laydown , I'll spend some time on it.
  10. I think my favorite part is when I'm right about where the bass are and what bait or technique they will bite. Last week I fished this iron structure "dam equipment" with a worm and no takers. Later that day I was thinking about that beam and it struck me to go back and hit it with a tube. Returned and caught four including the largest of the day.
  11. I have not fished chatterbaits much until recently. A new lake I have been fishing has a lot of moss, little wood and chatterbaits have been getting smashed. Toss it to the edge or in any open spots. Before ,on other waters when I was fishing a lot of wood I opted for a spinnerbait.
  12. 2 out of 20, I thought that was par.
  13. Yesterday while beating the bank with a chatterbait , something busted shad a cast away , which is rare for me. They are almost always too far away. I fired my chatterbait at it , let it sink a few feet then started the retrieve . Immediately it was slammed by a five lb channel cat. I thought I had hooked a new pb bass.
  14. Dinger Gitzit Whatever floats my boat.
  15. I've been using the Ozark Trail 3.0 offset worm hooks . They have performed great. I did bend one trying to remove it from the tough lips of a channel catfish.
  16. The 1/8 terminators I had, ran on their sides. The Strike Kings Mini King ran good.
  17. I like the gold foil Rapala Fat Raps. They are no longer available but they still sell the perch pattern with the gold foil belly.
  18. It might be a floating RES.
  19. 100 percent of the time but barely . If the worm is damaged to where the knot is visible then I clip the damaged part off.
  20. I'm almost out of those. They catch all species everywhere. I like to run a chartreuse marker down the back. It turns a dark green with the dark brown belly. Yum Dinger. I think they all work but am partial to Junebug and Bamabug.
  21. Thats a "Thingamajig"
  22. Wish there was a tackle swap meet close by to trade some stuff. I need to get rid of a bunch before I expire and make it a burden on my wife. As far as lures I havent bought any for over a year except for soft plastics that I use up. Did order some tungsten weights this winter.
  23. Thats been my experience .
  24. Thats crazy. I have 15 of them and not one has done that.
