I need a topo map of a small lake
Navionics is not showing a topo map of a small lake I have been fishing. If anybody knows how to find a digital map of Labelle lake in Missouri, could you share the link with me?

Sharpie your line?
I was trying to catch a bass uner a dock at Table Rock using a plastic crawfish on a round head jig. It showed interest but would not commit. I did the Doug Hannon" sharpie trick and caught that bass first try. Maybe it was the difference maybe not.

Going Shallow for Summertime Bass
Most of my fishing is done in a small boat on small lakes. With only an electric motor I cant run from spot to spot so I fish my way from spot to spot. I catch shallow bass all summer, sometimes in just inches of water in the back of pockets .

old school 2d sonar marker buoys= bass
I'm surprised a post from me actually made it to two pages.

old school 2d sonar marker buoys= bass
I started out with 4 of the humminbird Buoys. Now I only have 2. Thats because I left them out to check out another spot and when I returned they were gone. Thats my fault. But if I were actively fishing near them, that would be different.

old school 2d sonar marker buoys= bass
I use buoys a lot. Its impossible to stay oriented without them unless you have the electronics that will do it for you. If someone happens by and takes notice , I wont lose any sleep over it. Spot lock is a real nice feature. I wish I had it on my Lowe.

Clear (transparent) Plastics…….Grubs, Worms, Swim Baits
That could be the ones I have.

old school 2d sonar marker buoys= bass
That hasnt been much of a problem for me. My buoys are yellow, not bright orange and hard for me to find when I get away from it. One time in a tournament I did have my buoys spotted and fished by competitors.

old school 2d sonar marker buoys= bass
Fished a small 200 acre lake yesterday out of an 8 foot one man boat. Havent fished this lake much. After four hours of beating the banks with one 12 incher landed , boredom set in so I started looking for structure in open water. I found two brushpiles and an inconspicuous point in different locations. Tossed marker buoys out to stay oriented and ended up catching over 20 bass . No giants but did have a nice one wrap me up. Did land three over three and a dozen more 2 lbers all on a worm. One brush pile there were no distinguishable features to help me find it next time. So I marked a tree on bank with a strip of yellow cloth. With new technology, GPS and waypoints , a lot of anglers dont fish this way anymore. It still works.

Clear (transparent) Plastics…….Grubs, Worms, Swim Baits
I have some 4 inch worms , one is clear with flakes , one is sand and another milky. I havent had a lot of success with them but that doesnt mean a thing . just havent thrown them under the right condition. Water is not clear in my area .

Just curious
I'm retired now so I can pick my days. I like to fish a minimum of 8 hours and do not go in 90 degree weather.

How do I Fish a Point?
My method is pretty easy . If I can fand the depth most of the life is at in open water on my depth finder, that Is where I start on the point. I'll fish there out to the thermocline , if there is one, and all the way to the shallows. Any bottom hugging lure can be used. I'm partial to texas rigs, Carolina rigs, jigs of all kinds, tubes... Cranks are good and the Red Eye Shad hopped on the bottom has been excellent for me.

Berkley Dredger 17.5/20.5/25.5 success?
They get deep fast and stay deep for a long time. I have caught a lot of bass close to the boat . They reach advertised depth with 12 lb test and a long cast. The only size I havent done well with, surprisingly, is the 8.5. Havent had a bill break yet. As far as colors I primarily use fire tiger with the 14.5 to 25.5.

How many rods and Whats on them?
7 foot is the max length. Anything longer just does not fit in my truck bed , one man boat or rod locker. Four rods are Okuma Epixor's which are inshore rods. I tried one , liked it then got more. I usually take six rods. 7'2" medium spinning rod for all things spinning. 7' mh rod with braid for frogs or if I ever need braid 7' hvy worm/jig rod three 7' mh for everything else

I have noticed several Elite angers throwing them in tournaments but they rarely mention them.

Berkley Dredger 17.5/20.5/25.5 success?
When they first came on the market I caught lots of bass with them on points, including the deepest bass I ever caught with a diving bait. 22 foot deep with the 25.5. They have since cooled down but crankbaits as a whole have not produced for me the in past few years. I caught three decent bass last week with a 14.5 about ten foot deep..
