Slip Shot Rig : Advantages Over Split Shot Rig ?
I never use split shot . Seems like it would damage the line . I wont chance it with mono .

Whats so special about pre rapala chug bugs?
Wait , Storm Chug Bugs are worth a lot of money . I have some wiggle warts that bring a pretty penny on ebay but the Chug Bugs too . I'll have to check that out .

Gill hooked bass
Most of the time I release a fish bleeding from the gills , it struggles and dies .

Neko Rig
Never done it but it looks cool . I'm thinking I would use a nail or a cheap crappie jig . I think you could rig a crappie jig and just clip the hook where it leaves the bait .

Do you have a routine game plan or do you just "Wing It"
I usually have a plan before I start . I even have my rods and reels set up before I leave . Then I get to the lake and do something else .

What's your post spawn strategy?
Post spawn is my favorite time to catch a huge stringer .If timed right the females will seem to be on every shallow point , fence line ... leading to deep water . Floating minnows are often a good bait to use . Some days they will be in pockets close to the points .This window doesnt last long because the other anglers will figure it out .

How would you fish this?
I would hit points looking for post spawn females . A Bomber Long a minnow fished on top is one of my top producers . If that doesnt produce , I would follow points out into deeper water with cranks and worms , still looking for post spawn females . If that doesnt work then I would run the banks that lead to the points with various lures , I fish a 200 acre lake very similar in the same climate and post spawn is my favorite time to catch big fish .

- Been a while since I caught one of these
Not many lakes in Missouri are stocked with muskys . I caught them at Hazel creek . Henry Sever and Pom de Terre have them . Where did you catch it ?- Exactly what kind of fish is this?
I was playing around with the Flying Lure along a bluff . I pulled the lure out and it would swim right back into the bluff . It really is an amazing lure . Anyway , those ravenous green sunfish tore that Flying Lure up .- Schooled by a Red Crankbait...
I dont often use red cranks , its simply a color I have not stocked up on . That being said , my two biggest bass last year were caught at night on a red craw shallow diving Rapala Crankin Rap . I didnt use it because it was red but because I wanted a dark shallow diver .- Favorite silent crankbaits
I have a lot of silent crankbaits , they are called vintage .- Stand Alone Craw - Your Rig Set Up ?
The same texas rig hardware that I would use on a worm of same thickness .- Fishing small lake after being stocked
Hit the usual structure . If there are long extended pints on the lake the bass will find them .- Jig Fishing Open Water From The Shore?
I'm assuming you're referring to weedless jigs with rubber skirts . Simple , work it through any and all cover you can find . Throw it right in the thick of things , thats what they are designed for ..- Deep bass
I'm not saying there are no bass deep with visibility at just one inch of water but if there are , I'm not fishing for them . With that muddy of water I'm sticking shallow .- Huge Smallie -- Not Really a Fishing Report
think we could take cans up there and get a dime each for them ?- Hookset catchphrase?
