  1. Small lakes , i mostly just go fishing up the arms . Crankbaits are my number 1 autumn lure . Bomber model A , Rapala Fat Rap and others that dive around 5 to 6 feet work well for me .
  2. There are no weeds most places I fish. I'm going to use it as a buzzbait . I may add a 1/16 or 1/8 ounce weight so I can let it fall when a fish misses .
  3. then use a senko type bait. They are heavy enough to use weightless.
  4. You make popcorn in the oven ? Not that I care .
  5. I have the regular sized ones not the babies.
  6. I wont wait if I get a chance to use them. I just ofien hit a good buzzbait bite right before winter.
  7. I bought a pack of Stanley Ribbet frogs yesterday and plan on some autumn buzzing action. I have lots of hooks and I'm thinking an EWG with a parasite clip would keep it in place and make it last a long time. Whats the best way to rig them for buzzing ?
  8. The worst jigs are the ones I trimmed the weedguards on . I forgot who it was but a pro on a video showed how he trimmed the weedguards and I did exactly like him. Those jigs were ruined and snagged on everything.
  9. The only complaints I ever got was from my uncle who always said I was going to fast even if I was texas rigging and inching along .. He just fishes to dang slow and wont make the adjustments needed to catch fish. Most days he got skunked even if I was having a great day .Dont be like my uncle .
  10. The last day I went fishing , I left my sack of soft plastics at home. I searched through all my gear and found a bag of black Fats Gizits . I didnt drag them but caught a lot of fish with them texas rigged and learned a little bit. Next time im going to insert a piece pf plastic worm and use a screw lock hook to make them more durable .
  11. The time I remember he was bass fishing . He also filmed one at Reelfoot lake. I went to Reelfoot after watching that one .
  12. Bill once filmed a segment fishing oxbow lakes off the mississippi river in Arkansas . That was a good show .
  13. Ive never wore a pair of waders that didnt leak .
  14. Tesoro Compadre or Tesoro Silver U max. They have lifetime warranties , made in the USA , take only one 9 volt battery to run and super lightweight . . Though they dont have a digital display which some people insist on having , . They discriminate great , I think all modern detectors discriminate ..I have a Tesoro Vaquero 460 dollars and have found lots of good stuff. Gold rings , Numerous 1800's coins and one from the 1700's . Relics , civil war buttons and pins . That lifetime warranty is for real. Other companies have 1 or 2 year warranties. I had to send mine is this year after five years and it was repaired for free. The Tesoros have knobs not push buttons . The sound is analog and gives a lot of info by their tone . Theres a lot to like . This is my 3rd detector the others being older Garrett and Whites . As far as salt water beaches go , I dont know a thing about hunting them .
  15. Just got to know when to throw them .
  16. ...and the Original Big O .
  17. I havent used many walking baits but the Spook is very easy to make walk. Use a 5.5 foot pistol grip rod . The short rod and handle makes it a lot easier .
  18. Elaborate, I have an old one that I dont recall ever catching a fish with . How do you get them tuned right ? Just loosen the blades so they turn freely ?
  19. I texas rig everything .
  20. Sunfish were easy to keep; Green sunfish were colorful and ate anything .
  21. Small time tourneys, there is no reason for the guy in the back to be at a major disadvantage, These tourneys are suppose to be fun . I always went out of the way to make sure the guy in back had as much opportunity to catch fish as me . And every time I fished in back I was treated the same way .
