  1. Man , I'd like to experience that . Do you sell those ?
  2. I think Rick Clunn tries to get in a state of heightened intuition and not rely on hocus pocus to catch bass . Ike is annoying .
  3. Use a Zoom Lizard . Then if you have a question as to whether or not had a bite , you can examine the bait for teeth marks. If a bass hit it , then will leave teeth marks that are easily seen on the smooth shiny surface of a Zoom Lizard and other such baits. You should start learning how a bite feels once you determine you had one .
  4. I have called the conservation department a few times if they are blatantly poaching. Sometimes I just let people know that they are doing it illegally and will get ticketed if caught. Recently a man and his boy were putting fish on the same stringer and I told him that was a no no . He thanked me because he didnt know. I once watched this Chinese guy snagging channel cats and keeping them. He had an impressive sack full. I tried to tell him that this area is patrolled heavily and what he was doing was illegal . He just laughed and said "No" he couldnt understand a word I was saying . I'm pretty sure he served these fish at a local restaurant too.
  5. I've never used a Senko. To expensive. I have went through hundreds of those stiff Luck E Jogger worms.
  6. Fishing shallow largemouths is difficult when everyone else is doing it too. I have got a lot better at it in the past five years. I simply fish differently than everyone else .
  7. If the tension knob is loose and its not falling at all there is something wrong with it . Take it back .
  8. The thing I remember most about Denny Brauer. He was fishing a Bass Master tournament somewhere and needed a big string the final day to win it. He saw a bunch of fish on his depth finder , stopped and fished them with a crankbait , caught the snot out of them and won the tourney. I dont have that magazine anymore but was really impressed how he pulled that victory off .
  9. I have two new ones sitting in the closet. Was hoping to find some good clearance rods to put them on but those rods didnt materialize this year .
  10. You think maybe the bullfrogs are eating the bass ?
  11. If your not catching fish you might as well not be catching big , deep ones . Look for some points and go for it. Spend a lot of time looking at your depth finder . Invest in some marker buoys . The fish are out there. Dont place limits on yourself , you already know that is not productive . If you dont know how to fish a Texas rig "well " then learn it or you will always be handicapping yourself . I fished with a lot of guys who all they did was bank fish with spinnerbaits and crankbaits . I learned zero from them. I didnt start catching lots of bass until I had my own boat and learned to texas rig out on the points and deep flats. I picked it up quickly. The very first day I was putting fish in the boat .
  12. Nice fish but that photo is awesome .
  13. It was humid , the lens kept steaming up. I was using the cameras timer and was hurrying to get the fish back in the water quickly and just forgot to smile . LOL
  14. Caught these last night between midnight and 2 o'clock had a third one come off .Used a Rapala crankin Rap # 5 in red crawfish pattern. Caught them on shallow points .
  15. Sometimes steeper banks and flatter banks is all the structure small bodies offer . I like to find the steep banks on small lakes .
  16. Went fishing at a two hundred acre lake last night during the blue moon. Caught a few dinks on a spinnerbait . Around midnight I started catching fish on points with a crankbait . Rapala crankin rap shallow bill red crawfish color. I caught two nice ones and lost a nice one. These came at midnight and 2 o'clock.
  17. Those are awesome . I love Mudbugs . Did you add split rings on the hooks ? Mudbugs are big bass lures for some reason . At least thats my experience with them .
  18. I wish the black light would make the trees glow. I try to parallel cast the bank at night and spend a lot of time retrieving my lures from trees . LOL
  19. Congrats . Hope you excel .
  20. Its an excellent choice .
  21. There you go. Some of the darters here in Missouri are bright beautiful colors.I mean brilliant orange , with blues , chartreuse and green . I use to have some in an aquarium. Theres little in a bass diet that is one solid color. I've been changing my soft plastics from a solid color to mottled with spike it markers.
  22. I have a utility bag that cost two dollars at Goodwill. I keep sun screen a couple of marker buoys ... and my soft plastics. I usually replace the original worm bag because they are cheap and wont stay closed, with freezer bags with the zipper . I dont like cheap stuff but love good inexpensive stuff .
  23. The Texas rig is the one lure everyone should master . It will teach you more than any other lure and when you get proficient everything else is easy . Learn the T rig and you will see all waters in a new light .
  24. Same here .
