  1. I enjoyed meeting everyone too. Although I didn't get to talk to the opposite end of the table I enjoyed the conversation I had while keeping my little one corralled.
  2. IMO I only use straight tail worms. I seem to do better on those than anything. It may just be a confidence thing. A far as how I work it, I just slowly drag it or deadstick the bait. I read Don Iovino's finesse book. Talk about eye opening!
  3. I purchased some to give a try this year. I myself have no confidence in drop shotting so I will dedicate some time this ear to do so! Felix, Why the #1 vs. the 1/0? Action?
  4. Hey Dinky, I forgot to ask you at dinner. What type of camera are you using? Great shots!
  5. I need to start practicing some new knots. I plan on using braid a bunch this year. This looks like a good one.
  6. Ok I was totally embarrassed with myself. I went to the expo and went all Bass Mafia up in there! I purchased some of their boxes. Time to get to organizing!
  7. I purchased 3 at the Expo. Im gonna give them a try!
  8. Well I couldn't help it. I was slated to make it an all day affair Sunday, but I went to just the expo when it opened up at 12. This was, to me, the bass bait mecca! I seen a bunch of pros. I talked to some. I made some purchases. I have to say one person stood out to me. A total class act. As I walked up to the Strike King booth, which wasn't gaudy or big, I noticed a lot of jerseys. I started browsing the Rage stuff they had. I was looking for the Eeliminator. I asked one of the guys if they had some. He obliged and we walked around the display to where the few they had were located. There was a guy there that looked vaguely familiar to me. He asked what we were looking for and I told him. He pointed out the few packs they had and asked what colors I liked. BANG! Then it dawned on me. I said you must be Big O. He said yes sir. I introduced myself and told him how I knew of him from on this site. I received some tips without asking and a couple of stories to go with the tips. All in all he spent about 5 to 10 minutes of his time, then handed me the pack. I asked where I needed to pay and he told me they are yours. I seriously felt like I had won the lottery. It totally made going today worth the special trip down to the Expo. Also a special thanks for RW for suggesting these baits and what to do with them on another thread to another member on here. I just picked up on it and went with it. Here fishy fishy!
  9. I'm going to grab a couple at the Expo. If they are like all the other Rapala's, easily broken, I will not purchase more. I'll be done.
  10. Hey just curious rockchalk. Why the Berkley smash tubes and not the SK coffee tubes?
  11. I had originally thought it would take 60 to 70 pounds to win this. The weather is going to improve. It might take that much to win.
  12. I like a tube style bait or small creature bait. Usually in white or pearl with a some black fleck in them. I texas rig it and put a red glass bead in between the bait and a bullet tungsten weight. Most of the water I fish is stained to murky. But it works!

I'd love to get some of those dartshog's for my shaky heads!
  14. IMO Christie knows the lake better than any angler fishing. He has won tournaments moving up the ranks on Grand. It is where he started. That could hurt him more than help him though!
  15. Get it to deflect off rip rap or big chunk rock and it will surely break.
  16. sagecreekforums.com is a good one.
  17. Here is a helpful link on watching classic coverage. http://www.bassmaster.com/news/how-watch-bassmaster-classic I have to think outside of the box when talking about watching what happens live. How would I like someone watching me catch fish on what color lure or type of lure? That would just be one of the questions. As a spectator, I would love nothing more than watching it live. As a competitor, I wouldn't. The other thing that comes to mind is "the pattern" So lets say I can't see what lure he's using. I can see where he's fishing and how he's fishing. To me it makes it easier for someone to be unethical. Just my opinion.
  18. At least ya like them!
  19. I have mostly low riders and cara's. I have researched the Bucoo. It seems like a good rod. I like cork handles and I prefer to pay just a bit more for the low rider series. As far as the HD, IMHO, there are better rod options out there in that price range.
  20. I go to the website 20 times a friggin day! lol
  21. Ahem. What not to do. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/uploads/gallery/album_644/gallery_40623_644_4198331.jpg Click on my gallery to see a few more pics.

  23. I think what a lot of people aren't realizing is Grand lake has a TON of 4 and 5 pounders. Somebody is going to catch the heck out of them. I wouldn't be surprised if the big bass isn't an 8 or 9 pounder!
  24. You can watch the weigh live online at bassmaster.com. They have people on the water and will be doing live blogs all day long and uploading to the bassmaster internet site.
