  3. I think this everyday..............one more day is one less day......so I do whatever time will allow me to do for the day. Yes fishing is high on that list. I am fortunate in that my boss loves to fish as much as I does there are times we will call it quits early and head to the lake or wherever we can get to.So yeah I want to fish everyday but certain things just get in the way of my happiness.........LOL.......

  11. 50 years of fishing in Fl. and never had a gator get in the way of fishing. have had a few chase a buzz bait, topwater lures, but never was in any danger. keep head on a swivel when bank fishing.snakes are sneakier than a gator, and I HATE SNAKES.......

  14. I live 5 minutes from Lake Washington. the pier can sometimes yield some fish.your best bet is to go on google earth and look for lakes that dot the area. ask if you will be allowed to fish the local golf courses, there are some more lake up in the Suntree area and Viera. I have been here my whole life,I'm 58 now. and have fished since I was 4.

  21. I have fished Headwaters before they put the boat ramp in, kayak only. and I agree that the shiner guys are overfishing with using nothing but shiners. I myself don't use them.but that is my choice. they are making a living, a very good one right now.but the stick marsh went through the same thing years ago. was there when it opened also. guides from all over came down and used the tar out of shiners to guarantee "the fish of a lifetime" .like all good things someone will use it as long as it works for them.I have not had any bad experiences at the ramp or out on the water. I have been there at least 35-40 time since the new ramp opened. But I have heard of some arguments, buddy got into it with a guide once over who's area it was. it's not going to keep me from going there.but like Zcoker said it is one of the best lakes to fish right now, artificials or live bait, it is an awesome place.
  22. braid for heavy flipping/punching.......no flouro just Big Game......
  23. when I retire I'm moving to Okeechobee. I live 20 minutes north of Headwaters/Stick Marsh. I love fishing in Florida so much that the idea of living anywhere else makes me cringe. when you go to wherever, get a guide and like Capt. Phil said you both need to be on the same page as what to expect. keep an open mind on what you want, numbers or trophies.you can get both but don't be upset if you don't.just have a good time while your here.
  24. this would be a great setup....good call Catt....
