  1. Braid: PowerPro FC: Seaguar InvizX Mono: Seaguar Senshi
  2. It frustrates me to see this as well. I try to cleanup what I can if I have something to put it in. Things like line/hooks etc I always try to to pick up and throw out. Not always to be honest but if it's there and I can shove it in my pocket or small bag I take it.
  3. Target and WalMart sell Milk Crates too. They are sturdy and do the job.
  4. I "discovered" the Missile Fuse 4.4's and they work great on a bitsy jig. Trim off some of the end to get the desired profile you want. I tend to keep it long and lanky. More action on the fall.
  5. It happens to the best of them. Kudos for Gerald Swindle for video taping it. This is the first solo-removal video I have seen.
  6. Guess it depends on what you plan to throw it in. XL IMO is a good overall mono. I use it for my topwater because it's more forgiving that XT in terms of memory. Albeit not by a ton from what I can tell. XT if you plan to be scraping your line against weeds, rocks etc more often on your retrieve.
  7. I live in the area and there are ton of places to beat the bank. The closest to Honeywell is Rennselear Lake. Enter into the Six Mile Waterworks from Fuller Road and you will be introduced to a large amount of real estate to fish from the bank. I fish it quite often. Key here is light line and finesse stuff like Roboworms on a mojo rig. A senko will work too. Certain pockets are weed free and I have been successful crankin those spots. If you need supplies - Dicks Sporting Goods in Crossgates Mall. That is also a bink from where you are. Look me up when you are in town. I will show you around. Good luck!
  8. I have had Gulp products not last me a season because they dry up. I found keeping them in their package and then that in a zip-loc tends to make them last much much longer.
  9. Champlain in NY/VT ... North for Smallies and South for Large Largies.
  10. Not "finding" the outdoors and fishing sooner.
  11. I switched an UL setup to braid last year and loved it. I added a FC leader and the combination was perfect for any UL fishing I did. I think I used 6lb Fireline with a 6lb FC leader.
  12. I refresh my line at the beginning of the year and then use it as long as I can deal with it. Once it gets too much memory I replace again during the season.
  13. All the CSI's
  14. Tried it and didn't like it. When my leader was long it made it hard to cast. My setup now is braid to FC with a uni to uni.
  15. Depends on the day. I tend to vary it because I like to experiment with new stuff when I fun fish. When in tournaments I tend to go with the Sexy Dawg for at least 20-30 minutes on most occasions.
  16. VMC Half Moon Jigs Keitech EZ Shiner - Bluegill Flash 4" Senko - Black 5"
  17. Other than the episode with the kids getting killed off (still sends chills down my back) this has been a pretty blah season for me. IMO just not enough action or shock value in general for me. Let's see what the season finale has in store.
  18. T-Rig is much more versatile and gets through cover much better than most other rigs. The shakey head to me is best in sparse cover conditions and when the bite is slow. With a floating worm it practically catches fish alone when its just sitting there.
  19. I have been carrying on two reels with me for over a year. It was all domestic though. Maybe the rules are different for overseas??
  20. So what color/type of trailer do you use for PB & J jigs? Great to see pics if you have them.
  21. I'm as happy as my wife allows me to be. Lol.
  22. I carry 2 spinning setups with me 1 - 7'M for Drop Shot, Mojo Rig 2 - 6'6"M for weightless plastics (wacky senko) the latter is my "follow up" rod. If I miss a bite on a spook or something like that I tend to try and follow it up with the senko. My #2 Also better for skipping docks IMO. A little more accurate.
