  1. I don't know why you would want to throw jerkbaits on the most expensive combo you could buy, but if it makes you feel warm inside I would get a Stella 2500 FJ and a Conquest 6'6 M with 10 lb Smackdown.
  2. Nothing describes the average Joe's attempt to achieve the highest level of an activity like a guy that can't break 90 with a bag full of Pro V1's.
  3. I have one of each, but this one would be what I would get if I were in your shoes. https://www.amazon.com/Super-repairman-Round-Trailer-Adapter/dp/B07RG41RTQ/ref=sr_1_7?crid=3MM77NMFWZ0NT&dchild=1&keywords=4+pin+5+wire+trailer+plug&qid=1610637924&sprefix=4+pin+and+5+pin+wire%2Caps%2C212&sr=8-7
  4. I am needing to step away from some of what I would call "negative" things on the internet. Seems as though no matter where I go it is a bunch of junk that ends up just making me mad. The climate today is terrible and I want to rid myself of the negativity. We did away with cable and I have basically stopped watching TV and I do not turn on the news at all. I don't want to be a hermit and have no idea what is going on in the world around me, but I can't handle some of the things I see and read. I have found myself getting upset and being in a bad mood over things I see on the internet that have no direct impact on my life at all. This site is honestly the only one I visit that I would call my "happy place". I can talk about fishing, family or whatever and not have any negative reactions. That being said, are there any sites you guys visit that reports just the news without having to wade through the nonsense? I would do away with internet all together but I'm afraid you guys would miss me.
  5. All while having a DD I hope.
  6. It wouldn't work for me because I fish them differently. I would have to decide if I was going to fish it like a ned rig, or like a drop shot. I also only drop shot for smallies which is only a few times a year so I am not a veteran at it.
  7. I fished a LOT this past year and I usually just had a pack of peanut butter crackers or something in the morning and made sure I had water or Gatorade. Very rarely did I get hungry. I have a buddy that goes with me occasionally and even if we are going for 4-5 hours he will bring a sandwich, chips, beef jerky, a snickers, hot peanut, a dr pepper, a couple bottles of water, etc. He always asks me, how can you go without eating. I just tell him I am here to fish, I will eat later. LOL
  8. I contacted the seller and ebay about the two that they had listed and it appears they are not on there anymore. Either they sold or the seller took them down or ebay stepped in. I agree that based off the other items the seller has listed, they didn't even realize it wasn't what they were listing it as.
  9. Mine are power poles as well. I installed one very similar to the first one you posted but I installed it in the battery compartment. Super easy to just lift the hatch and turn it off while you are back there strapping everything down. I did this to make it easier to install and so I could use heavier gauged wire.
  10. I thought so as well......I didn't even know they made 17lb braid. LOL
  11. I didn't figure it was worth it over a few bucks. No sense in getting my blood pressure up over it anyway. LOL
  12. I bought a 30 pack of YUM Christie Craws for like $11. At least the picture was of a 30 pack. When it arrived, it was 2 packs of the 8 ct. I sent them a message and they gave me a bogus response that they used a stock photo and I didn't read the fine print that says actual product may vary from the picture. I wasn't happy, but I learned my lesson.
  13. Trail cams, like many other items, have come a LOOOONG way in just a few years time. When I first started running them an 8 mp cam with video might run you $300, now you can get a 30 mp with video and cellular for $120. Sounds like you would be fine getting a cam that would accept cards so you could just swap the card out and look at them on your PC. No need for the cellular option That being said, the new cameras with cellular capabilities are less than just regular cams of years past. I have used the Moultrie brand the most and they work fine for just taking pics to see what is visiting. The main thing I think you would want to ask yourself is if you are going to run disposable batteries, rechargeable batteries or use a solar panel to run the unit. Most cameras will be user friendly and you can set them up to take a pic every few seconds, minutes or whatever you desire. It can become a pretty neat hobby. Sometimes I set mine up in the back yard to see what ventures through at night. One of the biggest bucks I have ever had on cam came through one night and he was about 20' from the house.
  14. I never set it and forget it and I also do not use any sort of weight system to set what one would deem as a "lb test" to determine drag. I always test my drag when I grab a rod/reel out of the box. There are a lot of factors that go into what I think feels right on a given day and given the situation. If I am slow rolling a spinnerbait over a rock bed with no cover near by then I may set it with a fairly loose drag, but if I am throwing the same rig and burning it through a stump field I may want to tighten it down a bit to try and give me as much leverage as possible. I would bet a lot of money that more fish have been lost by anglers because of a bad spot in the line as opposed to drag issues.
  15. As long as Saban sticks around, I don't see them going anywhere. There will obviously be a better team every once in a while, but they will be a constant at the top of the mountain for the foreseeable future.
  16. No, but I would have to break my "no fishing gear in 2021" rule if they do release one. I love my Curado K 70 MGL and I know the Scorpion would look a thousand times better.
  17. Pretty sure Jeff Gustafson has a boat full of NRX's, but he's the only one I can think of off the top of my head that I know fishes a lot of high end rods, I'm sure there are more though.
  18. Konawa. I saw some shad floating so I know they are dying and the bass should be feeding up on them, but I couldn't make it happen.
  19. It might very well be that easy, but I haven't had any luck with it. I threw it for probably an hour yesterday morning because I was really going to try to get a good one on it, but no luck.
  20. You can get a K for $150 all day long. The last 2 I bought I paid $100 and $120 for them. Just have to check often and don't be afraid to make an offer.
  21. But it was on a lipless. ?
  22. 20" - 4 lb 15 oz, it is all right there in the first post. Nice fish!
