I called in sick this morning around 5. Then had already arranged for ALL of the guys that I supervise, (11) call in sick around 530-545. Boss man was going nuts. We were all sitting up the street getting coffee waiting... Boss man was calling me asking if there's anyway u can make it. Callin them...asking the same... Calling me asking if my guys had a party or something ... He never even realized the date. We all walked in around 605am... He was not happy.

Thanks Adam! FR is good to do business with. With thay kinda budget its hard to buy the stuff I like all at once. Makes it hard. It kinda sucked with thatnkinda budget, I couldn't really include Lews reels.. not for what you can get a tatula or a Curado for right now. To be honest, if I had to start over from scratch with that budget, I'd probably buy 5 Lews Speed Spools 75 each and 5 75$ rods and save the rest until I can get some Powell or Dobyns rods.

Can't answer that with a yes or no. I will try all three. Typically, ill go from deep to shallow first. And then if I pin point a depth that is productive, ill try to parallel. Same for cranks, jigs,big spoons ans c rigs.

I don't go to great lengths, but I have been known to answer the question of what I've been doing, by saying " purple spinner bait in 40FOW".

The three I use most are Green Pumkin, Black and Blue, and Pb&J. These will get you through most any water color. Okeechobee Craw, falcon craw, black and Red, and a blue gil patern are others that I use often in stained water. Those seven colors are more than enough for any water and probably are on Mike Sieberts Top selling list.

Really dude, that set up can be use for just about every thing under 1oz weather its a vertical bottom technique or a horizontal technique. We all get caught up in technique specific stuff but its really not necessary. There's a lot you can do with that rod. T rigs, jigs, spinnerbaits, bladed jigs, small hollow body swimmers, flukes, stick baits, buzz toads. I like that length for skipping and close quarter stuff. I think everybody should have a few 6'6" -7'MH rods, they really are utility rods that just do it all.
