  1. That's a solid idea there. You ever have them slide under the dividers after putting the liner on the top? My tackle somehow goes over and under the dividers!
  2. Not sure Bill, but TW lists these Dimensions: 8.5" x 14.25" x 2" for the box. I'm pretty happy with the storage of my other baits the way i have them. BUT the terminal tackle in the plano is just not working out for me. Not to mention at $30 a pop I don't want to buy a bunch of them. Just hoping one might suit my needs for the terminal storage!
  3. Curious if anyone is using the Bass Mafia Coffin box (the shallow one) to store their terminal tackle? I have been using the standard plano 3700 and am getting annoyed with all my stuff sliding and hopping over or under the dividers. Just curious is this thing might be the answer to my problems? Would like some feedback based on real experiences before pulling the trigger on a $30 plastic box! Thanks!
  4. nope, but for $120-$150 i can list a lot of other "tried and true" rods and reels. Not to mention i'm skeptical of anything that has 5 star ratings all the way across the board..... and every product on their website has a 5 star rating, not a single one under 5. sketchy.....
  5. Thanks Mike, i like the sounds of that! As soon as someone buys my lure lot i have up for sale, the funds are going towards some Dockrockers and some sway jigs....
  6. having had 2 recently chase down my spinnerbait i would not rule them out.... I had a MONSTER snapping turtle snag a spinnerbait about a month ago. Lucky for him and me, he came unbuttoned right at the bank! Like MaineBass said, keep fishing as though it was a bass.... Try, try and try again!
  7. i smile and take the deepest breath every time i walk outside...........
  8. Just a reminder to all the kayakers on here.... wear your PFD. I honestly do not wear mine to float as much as i wear it so that my body could be found in such a tragic situation as the one on this story. I know A-Jay has said it many times and it sounds a little morbid, but the last thing i would want is my loved ones looking for a body.... BE SAFE! This guy was wearing his and while it may not have saved his life, it brought immediate closure to his family. http://my.chicagotribune.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-84429303/
  9. Mike, would you say it skips better, worse or same as the arky head? I'm ordering some either way, but wondering if I need to add some arky's to my order for skipping or if i should just go with these. They look great.
  10. Would be cool if there was a lefty every now and again!!! That's the only reason I never sign up...
  11. a berkley lightning rod will not disappoint at the price you can get them....
  12. Precisely
  13. A fine will definitely NOT do a thing.... That's the s**t that lets these types of morons think they can do anything they want. Only consequences, if any, are pay some money and it goes away.... That's considered assault when committed by anyone else out in the world....
  14. i think the Enigma rods fit somewhere in there..... that's about the only rod selection i've seen that made me immediately say NO....
  15. you guys are making me homesick.... grew up in the mountains in Franklin, NC. my mom lives in Morganton (near lake james). I lived in Charlotte for a little over 10 years before moving to ATL (hate ATL, only here because of the wife ). I've fished everywhere in between the mountains and Charlotte. Most of my fishing time spent either on the little tennessee river or Lake Norman. Man i miss NC..... and GO HEELS.
  16. i think having the hook perpendicular to the bait is MUCH better for hookups.... here is the article i was looking for, written by BR member Wayne P http://www.bigindianabass.com/big_indiana_bass/a-better-wacky-rigging-method.html super easy to do with senkos. go to lowe's or home depot and find 3/8" heat shrink tubing in the electrical section. cut in small strips, slide over worm and heat with lighter or heat gun. sometimes, don't even need to heat them. easy to do and very cost effective for those pricey GY senkos....
  17. i mean for $1 a bag, how can you go wrong? look up using heat shrink tubing on the senkos for wacky rigging. Holds the hook in place much better and makes the worm last MUCH longer.
  18. same company, same garbage, new troll.....
  19. i asked this same question a while back and was actually surprised at the number or people who do coordinate their combos! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/149652-does-it-really-matter-to-you/
  20. agree with Tom's answer in full.... i did basically the exact same thing here recently because i couldn't bring myself to just "throw away" about 60 yards of braid.
  21. that'd be a wild thing to experience for sure!
  22. never fished the SC stretch too much, but from Mountain Island all the way north, the finesse worm tends to be the #1 bait. Have also had pretty good luck in cooler weather with a floating jerkbait.
  23. what size braid were you using? this happens with braid. even the palomar knot will snap off when you cast and hit a snag/backlash. i did this recently with a megabass giant dog x and saw my $20 bait sail through the air..... luckily i was able to cast another lure out and eventually snag my lure back. it's impossible to tell since you can't find/see your lure, but it's very possible that the line broke above your terminal knot.... all that said, i would still suggest a palomar knot for the future....
