Rod Gloves
Mine are on while they are in the locker but that's it. Don't have time to be putting them on and off. Wrap your line around the rod a few times.

Powell Endurance Vs Daiwa Tatula

Hardest Hit You Have Ever Had?
None of my top 3 biggest bass have hit hard. I wade the Potomac for smallies and I'd say those are some of the harder hits I've had.

Powell Endurance Vs Daiwa Tatula
I use my two 723's for everything. Here's a pic I took a while back for someone. Any reel from the 5-8oz range will balance great. The 723 balances better than the champion 703 I just bought using the Steez. It's not by much but it's about 3/4 inch above the reel seat nut. The Dobyns is lighter and that's the reason why the balance point changes.

Powell Endurance Vs Daiwa Tatula
Endurances are $119 right now on TW. You won't be disappointed with a 723. The Tatula is a good rod too though. Maybe you were just expecting more.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
My dobyns showed up today and I had to decide on what current reel to put on it. I moved one over to it and that left me needing a reel. So another Tatula is on it's way now.

Best Baitcaster For 100$?
Plenty of contenders in that price range. Pick the one that offers the features you are looking for in a reel. If possible mount them to your rod to get a better feel for it. Any of the ones mentioned will serve you just fine.

The Road To The Super Bowl
I figured Seattle would beat the Eagles and they are my team. Hopefully they can put it to Dallas again next week. Should be a good game to watch though.

Most Sturdy Low Profile Baitcast Company
That's not what he was saying. He's saying with a budget of $150 it's hard not to buy a good reel. The Op stated he'll spend up to $250.

Most Sturdy Low Profile Baitcast Company

"casting Rods"
Looks like we were all typing at the same time haha

"casting Rods"
Casting = it's to be used with a casting reel or baitcaster as we call it. Nothing special about it.

Just Bought ( 2) Veritas Rods Off Ebay
Both are what I'd rate as a heavy power and not your typical medium heavy. As mentioned they're stiff. The 7'6 would be my flippin stick and the 7'3 for heavier jigs and t rigs. Frogs when needed.

The Px R Is Here!!
If anyone knows Daiwas it's that man up above. I have a px68 which is close to the R model. I added 1 bearing per knob and a bearing to the level wind. Also Boca os7's to the spool. That upgrade right there made throwing lighter baits even easier. I have it on a Phenix Recon 2 713 and it's just so much fun to fish. I have a Dobyns 703c on the way and I believe this reel will have to have a brother in the near future. Soon as I sell my steez. As for what Dobyns rod. Choose that based on what's weights you'll be throwing. I think the 703 would treat you very well.
