  1. Yep, can't wait! Glad the ban was lifted, this was going to be the first year in 10+ years I wasn't going to be able to make my annual spring trip to LSC! Looking forward to my 9 solo days of sun up to sun down smallie fishin'! Goal is to break my PB bag of smallies there, 27lb 12oz and/or catch a 7lb+.
  2. Nope, way too far of a boat drive especially if it gets nasty.
  3. Yep, I hope it ends on 4-30-20... If so, I'll probably come up there solo to avoid the "same household" situation.
  4. Calcutta Conquest 400A's is what I use for my big baits.
  5. I'm just referring to the left side plate section that I palm. The overall reel is slightly larger than the Core 50. If you're looking for exact match size wise with the Core 50 I'd look at the Aldebaran's.
  6. I don't feel the need to mention over and over and didn't miss your point; but if your point was the case, those 9 posts I put the links to on this website I would have mentioned it again in those threads. Also, as far as my signature pic, why do you have a pic of you holding a "decent" bass on your profile pic? Why not have a pic of a 12"er? Or why have a fishing pic at all? Are you rubbing that in the face of those guys who have only caught a 5lb as their PB and can't catch one bigger? This is turning into a dumpster fire... I'm out.
  7. I wish I would have kept one over the years!
  8. In that same thread another guy mentions he bought 3 of them and what rods he's putting them on. I'm not throwing it in the faces of people who can't afford it, I started from the bottom as far as truck, boat and equipment. I know it's not an accomplishment....lol, they are all just materialistic items, meaningless in the big picture of life. There are many people out there with nicer and more equipment than mine. I have 2 sonar units on my boat, both of which are already out of date along with my 360. I'm not the only one with their nice truck and boat in my signature on that other forum, in fact a majority of the signatures on that site have their rig in it. Fishing with the best available gear is part of the enjoyment of fishing to me, sorry if it hurts your feelings, or is annoying/weird to you.
  9. I counted 7 posts I made on "another forum" in the last few months that were in regards to my rods and reels and I didn't say anything about what I owned, I'd post them on here but they'd be blocked. They're all going on Shimano/G. Loomis Conquests. (1) 905C, (4) 904C's, (4) 903C's and (1) 842C
  10. Also, it's a smaller profile/frame vs the previous generation. Kind of reminded me of my Core 50's I used to own as far as it's palming size.
  11. Yes, I have. Casts better than the previous generation (which I had 10 of those as well in case anyone didn't know.... ). Spool is narrower than the previous generation and requires less casting effort to achieve the same distance cast, the "17% better inertia" or whatever they called it in the spool is noticeable. And the finish on them seems more durable, I accidentally dropped one and not a scratch on it. My previous generation silver ones showed scratches easily. I accidentally caught three 15lb-20lb stripers on them also, the drags are as smooth as butter too. It's all good man, haters are gonna hate. I ain't going anywhere..... Appreciate it sir
  12. 14 Conquests. Here are 9 posts about reels where I don't mention the quantity of what I own.
  13. Got all 10 of my new 2020 Metanium XG's in!
  14. All G. Loomis rods (minus my custom swimbait rods) / Shimano reels for me.
  15. True, but I prefer the highest quality.
  16. You get what you pay for... Get a X2/Northstar or Deka AGM 31 series
  17. Shimano and Daiwa are the top companies in the bass reel business, stick with one of those brands.....
  18. Got 1 of 10 in today, it's smooth as butter. Haven't spooled it up yet and all 10 will be paired up on Conquests. It is more compact vs previous generation Metanium. My initial thought on palming size reminded me of the Core 50's I used to have. Looking forward to getting the remaining 9 in my hands, spooling all of them up hitting the water! I'll try to post a review about them when I get some time under my belt with em'.
  19. ^^^ This ^^^ Shimano and Daiwa are the top brands in the industry, period. I'm a 100% Shimano guy, but you can't go wrong either way.
