  1. Yep, unless it's beyond obvious like the infamous 9lb 7oz smallie...
  2. Good deal. Post pics when you get the mount!
  3. Congrats on the PB! Dave Campbell has done my PB smallie and largemouth, his work is phenomenal! I've attached a couple of my threads from a while back of both mounts with pics and there's some pics on my IG account too. I caught my second DD a couple months ago, a 10lb 4oz that I'm having Dave do as well. He is about 20-22 months out right now, but his work is well worth the wait! I did hours of research before I chose to go with Dave, his name came up several times as being one of if not the best in the country for replicas. He does cost more than say Lake Fork Taxidermy or the other companies, but you get what you pay for... We spend a ton of money chasing these "fish of a lifetime", so don't bargain shop or cut corners just to save a buck for a replica. Spend the extra coin and get a high quality mount that captures that moment and that you'll be able to enjoy the rest of your life! www.davecampbellfish.com Good luck in your search.
  4. ? I have video of it on my IGFA certified BogaGrip, no "9lb 7oz" looney tunes shenanigans going on here... ??‍♂️
  5. Got another good one this week, a 9lb 4oz tank! Thought I had my third DD when she hit the net, but she was a couple gizzard shad in the belly shy of it. She had a huge mouth like a flathead cat! Maybe I can trick her again in the near future when she's a DD... The adrenaline rush when the big ones hit the net never gets old! And watching them swim away healthy is even better!
  6. Another DD largemouth and a 7lb+ smallie...
  7. I'd say 6lb. I've caught four smallies that were just over 6lb. Still looking for that 7lb+
  8. Nothing wrong with it at all imo. I have a exact set of (4) spinning combos and three exact sets of (4) of the same casting combos.
  9. That's my goal, to bust the TN largemouth record. Or at least get a 13lb+.
  10. Couple more shots, original post only allowed two pics.
  11. I know just because you live in CA, TX or FL you don't catch DD's every week. I was saying that DD's are more frequent/plentiful in those states and more common...
  12. "Other" Not the second one this week, second in my life. My first DD was my PB, a 12lb 8oz. Pics of it are on my IG account. Yes sir! The glory/satisfaction/reward for me is in the big ones, not the numbers! The DD fish are in a category of their own imo, they seem to be so much bigger once they reach that DD mark, almost like a totally different animal/fish!
  13. Swimbait. I'm going to have to plead the fifth now...
  14. Got my second DD this week, a 10lb 4oz TN pig! She hit right at the boat, so I was able to watch it all go down (as my heart exploded in my chest...LOL). She was beautifully built, 25" x 18.5" and was released unharmed to potentially grow to the new TN state record. I've been "trophy hunting" hardcore the last 4-5 years and it's good to see my long hours on the water, money and mental grinding paying off. Even though it's not my PB I'm going to get Dave Campbell to make a replica of her because I'm not in CA, FL or TX and it's not everyday you catch a DD!
  15. My '16 Metaniums did the same, chipped easy. I wouldn't mess with it imo, what ever paint you use it'll never perfectly match. The paint on the 20's are way better, I accidentally dropped one on the garage floor, zero scratches.
  16. I have my 904C's paired with the 2020 Metanium XG's.
  17. I recommend Jason Kordan aka bassjak. He's painted 8 of my mom's and several of my Hinkles, top notch work. You're probably looking at around $80-$100 to paint the Chaser. He's on IG and has an example of a Chaser he recently did. Good luck
  18. Why not a good feeling??? Who likes casting off $450+ baits?!?!!? I said I've "casted off" a Mother - the line broke during the cast and the mom sank to the bottom of the lake.....
  19. Yeah, the big bait game gets expensive.... I've casted off a Mother, it's not a good feeling! There are some Chasers on fleabay going for $1,500 - $2,500+
