Looking to swap several of my braid setups to flouro. Wanting a quality line with low memory, without having to use conditioner. Been throwing Pline tactical and have been somewhat impressed, looking for other suggestions. 

Tatsu or Invisx. I've never owned any kind of conditioner or spray.

Invizx for me. Are you use a spinning or bait caster? On a spinning setup I don't usually go more than 8lb and my bait casters 15 but usually its 12lb.

Tatsu, but it is expensive.

Any particular site you’ve found the best deals on Tatsu?  The lowest prices I’ve seen yet have been on Amazon for 1000 yard spools:

I think most guys will like InvizX on spinning gear; AbrazX for baitcasting.

 

Another for Invizx. Durable, low stretch, reasonably priced.

Are you paying for tatsu like everyone else or are you getting a discount as a moderator?  Just curious since you usually promote products that sponsor the forum.  

Spinning what lb test? Casting what lb test?

I didn't find Tatsu worth the price, good line knot strength isn't different then Sunline Sniper, IMO. Sunline Shooter is stronger then Tatsu of equal diameter but more memory. As far as IvisX and Sniper it's a toss up, Sniper has better abrasion resistance, AbrazX more memory the Shooter. Tatsu is supposed to resolve all the issues, it doesn't.

And Tom, to address Tatsu specifically, I think it is the best line I have ever fished.  I spool #6

on spinning tackle, #12 or #15 on baitcasters. I also use remnants as leader for Smackdown

which is also the best braided line I have ever fished.

The question is about memory and all FC line has memory issues.

Tatsu memory isn't any less then other Seaguar or Sunline FC in my experience. The harder the line surface is to reduce abrasion the more memory it has.

Agree 6# for spinning and 12 to 15# or casting are ideal choices.

Tatsu.  I have had it spooled on some set ups for multiple seasons (4 years was the longest, 3 on average) where most lines only last one, even Invizx which is my go to line.  At about $35 (depending on which lb test) at Amazon for 200 yards and lasts 3 years as compared to around $20 for 200 yards of Invizx which last just one, you can get some value out of it. 

 

My disclaimer.....Now this meaningless if you realize that you can get 12lb Invizx in a 1000 yard spool for about $70 from Amazon or are prone to destroying or bird nesting your line. 

 

 

Another vote for Tatsu. It's the best all around fluoro (handing+knot strength+sensitivity+abrasion resistance+castability), I've used. I spool with backing and can get a few fill ups off a spool, so that makes the price more tolerable.

I do the same as Blue as When it comes to Tatsu. Also I turn it around maybe once a year the stuff lasts really well.

All lines save for braid will have some memory but Tatsu has less than some mono's like Maxima or Big Game.

How much line are you putting on?  For pitching and flipping reels I only put on 50 yards and for reels I cast with, I put on 75 yards.  I like to replace line a couple times a season which reduces memory.  I also use line conditioner.  A couple squirts the night before a day of fishing.  A bottle less than $10 lasts a couple years.  

I'm gonna order some tatsu, thanks for the overwhelming majority vote. 

Just recently switched to invis x on my spinning set up granted it's a leader but still amazing line.

Seriously, Tackle Warehouse usually runs Tatsu on special during their 25 days of Christmas and if you combine it with the 10% off on a gift card they promote over that period.  You can usually get it significantly cheaper then retail.
