Pouring down rain now....supposed to be nice rest of week whooohooo. Hope to get out and fish some hair and educate some bass.

When I lived in Oregon we had to take our fish back out away from the launch and release them...believe was a state law

Put new batterys in the boat yesterday and to ease some of the pain. of that expense I got on the water about 11:00. Wass one of those days where we just caught everything. Fished mostly hair, cranks and some swimbaits. Anyway we put two strippers in the boat around 30# each. Smallmouth, largemouth, drum, and tennessee tarpon also came to the boat. Water was a bit dirty but was a good day. Just love fishing hair this time of year on light stuff...ya just don't know what'll hit. Hooked what I thought were a couple big drum and they just kicked my @!#$ before the came off. Tight Lines

Love that place. I used to try and fish the small places with tules on outside bends. Had to run and gun a lot but they recieved less pressure. Flippin a green pumpkin tube (big one from dry creek) with a 1/8 bullet. Another rod would have a 1/2 oz crome blue rattle spot. Just sayin

Wow...feel very fortunate to have moved to tennessee. It's cold but at least waters not hard. Love fishing in winter here. Yesterday had on the ol Rivers West and stayed cozy.

Dry Creek Tubes are awesome...especially in baby bass color. They also make some very large tubes. Yum is a very close second. Tight Lines

If you like the seasons east tennessee is pretty awesome. Yeah we get some muggy weather in late summer but not much. And winters get cool but no hard water and the smallies bite well thru winter. I like in Knoxville area and have more water to fish within an hour than I can fish well. Tight Lines

Used to have some grass carp out west in one lake. The strike was amazing...the fight was nothing.

Just really wet here....so glad the white stuff and the hard water belong to other fishermen.

I too have a set of the Rivers West. Matter of fact got it when it first came out a number of years ago when I lived in Oregon and it had a lifetime warranty. When it's cold it's what I wear and I stay warm. There's lots of good stuff out there, I just happened to try this and really have liked the way it has held up. Tight Lines

Seattle is sure fun to watch thats for sure. I love watchin QB's that can move and if they play in the evening I can fish or hunt during the day. (approaching perfect day here)

Good luck to ya. Have been in that spot where I couldn't fish. (and I'm addicted to fishin) Lasted for too long. I cud write a country song on all the things that happened to us at once. Looking back it was amazing. Then it happened again when we moved to Tennessee I couldn't fish for two months due to acute pancreatitus. I hope this bump in the road life stuff is on the back burner for both of us!! Tight Lines

I've noticed that the 20# mono that I'm using seems to go soft after fishing for awhile and the fly tends to snag more. Not much but if ya fish it a lot it does seem to go soft. So I'm going to try some fluro in a heavier test or double up (spin it) on some lighter stuff. That means more research on the water...whooohooo

Went to Maui one time and did a bit of snorkling. Next day heard someone got bit by shark in same area!!! Fished in Alaska...saw lots of bears!!! I agree with slonezp....being down the food chain isn't a comphy place. I'm done taking chances. We do that enough with those around us!! Tight Lines

Well, we were going to hunt friday but I spent the day in the ER....dang pancreas stuff. Asked doc to fix me so I could go sat. Whoohooo...took pain away, got a good nights sleep and felt awesome. But it was a wierd day if you know what I mean. Anayway son saw two does...me nothing. I was even SERIOUS and never took a book to read when sitting so long!! Then pain returns for next two days and wife says no more hunting till you get healed!! Did fall in a big ditch I tried to jump. This could of have set it off maybe...not sure. Did put a good bruise on my arm. Good Luck to all.
