  1. folks who eat them call them strawberry daquiries. i used to catch 50-70 of them and give them to the ladies who work in my schools cafeteria. they are prety good, but i will stick with the saltwater variety when it comes to eating fish.
  2. the king of the glades classic is this sunday and the tournament director took the holey lands and the turnaround on the alley off of the list for places because the water is too low. the holey lands are unlaunchable and the wiers on the alley are unpassable. the only 3 locations left for the classic are lox, sawgrass and belle glade. we will find out saturday night.
  3. fished a tourny sunday at sawgrass and came in 3rd. i went all the way north to the end and caught over 100 fish. we had to weed through the 1 and 2 pounders, but we managed 18 pounds to finish 3rd. giggy heads, carolina rigged anything and big worms all caught fish. pop r's worked when the rain came. lox is low, but there are fish out there. you just gotta catch it at the right time.
  4. right on doug! what trail is that?
  5. my biggest sack ever in a tourny was 34.15 pounds and i caught EVERY fish on spinning gear. i was swimming a lizard through the pads in the everglades and i was using 20# power pro. if you are comfortable using it then by all means go for it. don't be discouraged by some of the "half empty" comments. go with with what you want.
  6. i have the model a year before that one and i love it. i have fallen off my boat a couple of times, pushed in my pool with the phone in my pocket and it has yet to fail. takes great pics and is indestructable. love it!
  7. just north of uncle joes cut on the east side of the rim ditch, there is a stretch of rocks. giggy heads and big worms always have worked for me.
  8. exactly right. stay consistant.
  9. anytime lee. let me know a good date. make it soon because the lake is dropping. i am on some pretty good fish right now. tell vince to come along as well.
  10. you can share all of your itunes music etc. to any computer using senuti ( i tunes spelled backwards). i have switched my entire catalog to 3 different computers. very simple to do.
  11. shazam! nice toads.
  12. went to my sister inlaws house for easter dinner, and caught a nice chunk on a pop r. my brother in law (in the photo) always doubted the size of the fish i catch in the lake behind his house, so as soon as i brought this one in, i ran to his back yard and showed him the goods. he is now a believer.
  13. where exactly are you going to be? when in miami, ANY and i mean any canal or lake that you see holds peacocks. golfcourses, the canals that run parallel to most roads all hold peacocks. any fast moving bait will work. i throw baits that i don't care if they get mangled, because they will. rapala countdowns in gold, x raps, rattle traps. a lot of people wil say to get the firetiger color, but i have better luck with gold. if you can give me the area you will be in, i can ask a friend who targets them from land to give me some more info. let me know.
  14. nice report snook. going out tomorrow with a friend to lake boca with my 2 kids and his 2 kids. if the wind isn't too bad, he said we may do a drop on a couple of spots he has in 200 feet of water. he has been getting huge muttons and a couple of cobia. hope the kids can handle it. if not we will head in.
  15. fished lox tonight from 4-7:45 and the fish were chewin! caught 10 fish over 5 pounds. every fish was fat and super aggressive. saw at least 100 gators. big worms and swim baits. here are some pics. 5.13, 5.10, 5.8, 5.3 and my partner mike with the big fish of 6.8. after we weighed those 5, we stopped weighing them. they were all around the same size. stellar night!
  16. keep it simple man. just use a floating rapala or an xrap. heck even rattle traps will work. if they are the size you are saying, i am willin to bet they are caught the same way they are caught here in florida. don't waste your money on "peacock" baits, when any fast moving bait will work. good luck.
  17. funniest. line. ever! i too will steal this.
  18. forgot the pic.
  19. fished my club tourny out of clewiston and went north to cochrans. super shallow, but there are fish there. ended up in 2nd with 24 pounds. had 2 6 pounders and lost 2 pigs. most of the fish came on dippers. lake is still hot.
  20. i'm in. can't wait. 2 of my friends were out last night up north and crushed them. water is low, but there is a big bite. yea baby!
  21. this is gamblers 16". http://www.***.com/Gambler_ER16_16_Worm/descpage-G16RT.html it is their version of the delong. here is another http://creationbaits.com/images/600_BlackSnake_16.jpg
  22. what do you make your molds out of? can you make a mold for a delong?
  23. thanks. would you happen to know the diameter of the skirt used on swamp donkeys? i have gone to several sites that sell skirt material, and the smallest diameter i found was 0.031. i would like to find the same diameter as the swamp donkey.
  24. does anyone know where i can get skirt material? looking for the single strands that are skinny (hope that makes sense). i want to replace the legs on some swamp donkeys. their skirt material is thinner than most. thanks in advance
