well if it breaks, it was only $20 lol but yeah i would try it, might be a great topwater rod where you dont need sensitivity, or a spinnerbait rod.

Dobyns dx745. Which is a mag heavy rod, fast tip and is 7'4" long. You'll want a rod that is 7'3 or longer when fishing deep water. I prefer a full handle because I use a lot if leverage under my are with the rod and full cork handle to me is more comfortable.

I'm from WA as well, i never knew there Smallmouth in Yakima river? are they in it above yakima and below ellensburg?

yeah i have one at my school ( college) I'm studying Mechanical engineering. i have made many fishing related things in solidworks, inventor, and autocad, I haven't printed anything fishing related but those printers can make some crazy things. you could make some really good soft plastic molds and hard baits. the thing is the printers are pretty expensive ( a decent one costs $2000 +)

you can't go wrong with either one. both are great rods, and you will love your purchase!

i have it 7.3:1 and it is my favorite reel, right next to my lews TP. real smooth, good drag, i love the grips, and the flip button is nice too. you can go wrong with this reel. btw, the one i have is the chrome material

what i do, i keep the tubes i recieve rods in form TW and other online stores, when you go to ship a rod, wrap the rod in plastic, and the top 10" of the rod in bubble wrap or foam to protect it. then place the rod inside the tube and tape the butt section of the rod (wrapped in plastic) to the pvc tube, that way the rod isnt bouncing around in there. works great and i have not had a rod damaged that way. and just take the tube to the ups store and tell them to label it fragile. usually costs me about $25 to ship a rod through UPS

BF4 is TONS better than ghosts. i have PS4, but ghosts really does suck, to me anyways

this will help you with points and humps a little bit, i just posted this in another thread the other day I target a Ton of off shore smallmouth, that is about 90% of the fishing i do. ill talk smallmouth here, others can fill you in on Largemouth 1. when targeting a SM bass offshore, there are 2 main things i look for, points and ridges/humps -Point, is where a point in a lake continues under water and there is deep water on both sides, Sm love to hang on the sides of these points, specifically on gravel or sand areas. also if you notice a stump or downed log, or a small seedbed, that is a big bonus! -Ridge/hump is usually located on a flat or it can actually be anywhere but it where the bottom is flat and all of a sudden it rises up. On a lake i fish a ton, there is a underwater hump that is about 100ft long by about 25ft wide. it is in about 55-60ft of water and the top of the hum is about 30ft deep. big SM hang all around it, and i can spend a day going back and forth on it picking up 15-30 bass mostly 2-3LB but a few pigs in there every once in a while Once it hits July around here ( i live in WA, spawn is later here than rest of country) almost all the bass in this lake move offshore, its really hard to find anything other than dinks around docks and shore. LM can be found offshore, same locations as SM, but LM tend to like Muddy flats with Stumps and wood nearby, at least around here they do. look at this picture for reference, this is a really clear water lake i fish and the dark areas are deep water and the green areas are shallower (10-25) https://drive.google...dit?usp=sharing

Any rod below 7' would work excellent. A shorter Rod gives you more casting control in tight spaces. A 6'8 or 6'10 is an ideal rod for those conditions. *** 6'10 medium might work great for you.

first welcome to the sight! I'm from WA as well, i live in Enumclaw up near auburn. the cabbalas here don't have the best bass selection, can't wait for the BPS to finish construction and open in tacoma !!!! i would fish with that fish eagle II for now, that is a pretty good rod that will defiantly get the job done for you.

733 will be fine. i have 703 and it works great, loads awesome on the cast, that is what i really enjoy about the rod

uh there is no real best color my man, its all personal preference, depend on what you plan on doing with that setup, if your gonna be using a senko say deadsticking, wacky rig, any type of bait where you have slack line, a HI-viz color (yellow, Red)will help you detect line movement easier. other than that any color is fine i wouldn't go over 20lb braid on your spinning real. 12-15 is perfect diameter and allows for long smooth casts, and if you tie on a leader, you won't cut into the leader material with the bigger LB braid.

i noticed toy story 3 is only for Xbox 360

keep in mind Xbox one is $499, where you can find a 360 for $150 not sure if price matters but just throwing it out there. i have the new PS4 and love it ton overs the old PS3. no fishing games yet but ill bet there will be in a year or so. not many games out for the new system yet, basically football, basketball, War games like Call of duty and Battlefield. just keep that in mind

i would recommend the dobyns. i have the 745 champ extreme and it is my exclusive football head and carolina rig rod. the 735 would work perfect for the applications you want to do. as for a reel, i you can find Lews Tournament Pros for $150, that is an amazing reel

there good, i have one, its pretty light, they do have foam handles, i don't like those, but thats a personal preference, but overall a solid reel. casts far, reels smoothly. I've never gotten a backlash with it. i have braid on it right now and its held up fine. id say pick it up! just bring a rod with you, that way you can put it on the rod and see how it feels as a combo...

Unless you have a lot of money, I wouldn't be dropping $230 on a bass rod for trout fishing. IMO, It's not needed. I carry a $50 rod/reel combo I use specifically for trout and panfish and it works perfect. It's a 6'6 ML but has a big parabolic bend in it. A trout rod has a lot more give to it, trout are not in heavy cover so there really isn't a need for a rod with some power.. Unless you like waterskiing them in lol Just my opinion..

for that water depth, 1/4 is heavy enough for me

i have 702sf and it has a pretty soft tip, would be perfect for trout, if your gonna stay at the 1/4oz only, i would get a 701, but 702 is a good rod, trout still wouldn't put up much of a fight haha, 702 is soft tip with actually some decent backbone
