  1. While I think Hendry was nuts for trading a producer like DeRosa, I do understand his reasoning behind letting him go. We needed another left-handed bat in the lineup.
  2. The entire McDonald's menu.
  3. Just packed every pair I own for this weekend.
  4. When fishing? Zero. Otherwise two.
  5. Jimmy, we gotta do a day of exploring the next time I'm out there. I'm almost tempted to make the drive just to fish.
  6. That's what I've thought since the Stren flouro hit the market, but I've never tried the stuff. Ordered two spools of the 15 lb. fluorescent, so I guess I'll find out. If this stuff handles like the Trilene, I may have found a new favorite line.
  7. Just hope the Stren flouro is halfway as good as the Trilene.
  8. I have four remotes in the living room, I've been considering getting one of those Harmony remotes. The only problem is I doubt it could truly replicate my Dish Network DVR remote.
  9. What is wrong with my shorts?
  10. Fishing a night tournament alone on a small TVA lake. Tournament hours were 7PM-7AM. I fish from 7 till around 3:30AM without a bite. Move to a little underwater hump that a friend had told me about and started working a spinnerbait around the hump. Got the bait hung on a rock, when I shook it loose, it felt like I had hooked a freight train. Set the hook and the fight was on. The fish would pull and I would pull. It felt like a five minute fight, but was probably closer to a minute. I finally get the fish to the surface and it's a whopper. I step off the front deck and grab my net and get ready to land the fish. Get the net in the water and start to pull the fish towards the boat. I get her on top and get a good look at her. Probably around 6-7 lbs. Almost have her head in the net when she looks at me in the glow of theh blacklight, shakes her head one time and throws the spinnerbait back into the boat and swims away. That cost me $80. :'(
  11. The TT bait is a joke. Looks like some cheap knock-off or a BPS designed bait. The Spro bait is a nicer looking bait and seems to be a bit better constructed.
  12. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1236278089 I occasionally get a flare-up at the beginning of the cast with one of my Curados. I just figure I'm getting a little wild with the snap cast.
  13. It gets better after dark.
  14. My lips are sealed. I don't want Big-O to come up here and open up a can of whoopass. :-X
  15. Before packing the new boat's compartments, decided to do a little inventory. I'm gonna need a bigger boat. And that ain't all. :-[
  16. Hit the lake last Sunday night to do a little experimenting. Had my camerman (aka wife) along, so got plenty of candid shots. Most of the fish were caught on a jig/Rage Craw combo, although one came on a Rage Tail (censored) and the last of the night came on a crank (fluke fish, just threw out to get a loop off the spool before I put the rod in the locker). Started the evening cranking a ledge with no luck. Then they started hitting the jig. They weren't liking the white Pure Poison, so I gave them something different. They didn't want it either. You people are gonna love this bait! He fought big for his size. Probably my last trip in my old boat. It gave me one last good night.
  17. That's what they get for choosing to have the tournament on a river in Iowa.
  18. Why would you moisten braid before cinching the knot?
  19. Someone must have finally read my mind. Stren is releasing a fluorescent flourocarbon just in time for summer. Time to get out the blacklights!
  20. I just checked a list of current special run colors, not a single violet on the list.
  21. Not bad. Mandolin was a little over the top.
  22. There are? :-?
  23. Yes, the cheap reels are likely to last only a season or two.
  24. Good job Kelly!
  25. Greg, I can be there next Thursday afternoon if that is on the menu.
