  2. Any section is your best bet. That said (and I've never fished the New in VA or NC), the New in WV downstream of Bluestone Lake gives up tons of fish. There's a certain member here who has had a few 100 fish days there this spring. If you do not have experience with the river and a kayak, I would suggest a guided trip. The New is one river that you don't want to screw around with.
  3. CXX 15 lb. is the only way to go. 8 lb. on spinning reels.
  4. Same place, fewer kids this year. Had rain overnight, it was a bit cooler than last year.
  5. Sure you weren't on Flanagan?
  6. The Dink is strong in me.
  7. Mandolin would do in a pinch.
  8. Man, it looks fantastic!
  9. That's some mighty fine pickin and a grinnin. Ya needed more cowbell though.
  10. Best warranty for a sub $150 rod yes. Lightest, I don't think so. My 6'10 MH Gblanks weighed in at 3.1oz also felt more sensitive, and looked better ;D : Off the rack...custom :-X
  11. The Crucials are the best and lightest rods at their price point. They also sport the best warranty.
  12. Are you lubricating the knot? Tying correctly?
  13. Well, we did have Grigsby/Martin vs. KVD/Zona earlier this year.

That's open wheel racing for you. You said it, not me.
  16. Where? Anywhere. When? At night. June-September for us. Depth? Where ever the fish are. Cruise some banks at Boone and throw a black/red (no moon) or black/chart (moon) with a matching Fat Albert. Let it go to the bottom, rip it off the bottom, crank it 3-4 times (get the blade spinning), then let it settle.
  17. Don't buy BPS rods and expect sensitivity or light weight.
  18. You need a east TN attack beagle.

The last 50 laps were about as fun as watching paint dry. :-/
  20. I hope we never play another game in Pittsburgh. Lou is going to have to add three pitchers to the roster before every trip.
