  2. It's 20* outside, the wind is howling and I was just on my porch casting. Spring can't come soon enough.
  3. I've never fished them any other way than weightless on a 3/0 EWG Gamakatsu.
  4. Wal Marts batteries are made by Exide (or at least they used to be).
  5. Forget the liquor store, she needs to own a bait & porn shop.
  6. I wish I could play the banjo. My grandfather gave me his about a month before he died. I get it out every now and then and play with it a bit. About all I can play is Dueling Banjos (not the runs, etc). My fingers just don't have the mojo for it.
  7. It is a Fraley. Hand-made by my cousin. Purchased by my grandfather in 97 after my grandmother died.

Just think, in a month or three you should be able to get on the water. We had a taste of spring yesterday. High was 59* (although I slept through most of it), was still 40* at midnight. Now it's 25*, the ground is snow covered, and the wind is 15-20 out of the NW. Counting down the days till Varner in late April.
  9. No woman's life is complete without a Loomis GLX and a Shimano Calais.
  10. Currently play or have played: baritone horn tuba trumpet bass trombone guitar mandolin The mandolin my late grandfather gave me.
  11. Not crappy reels, just old reels that you don't want. They inspect them and make sure they are in working order. If it checks out, they give you a coupon. The value of the coupon is dependent on how much the reel you purchase costs. I can't remember all the numbers, but I know it was worth $20 for reels costing $100. I think $50 for $250.
  12. Oh well, guess I'll have to get a Cardiff elsewhere. I think I'll still head to Kodak as I really need a set of guide-on bunks. Perhaps Shimano didn't want people to get a discount on their reels. Gotta be some backstory there.
  13. Cards don't have a thing for the Cubs.
  14. My wife would kill for a mess of those.
  15. Glad I'm not the only one who thought that.
  16. Sent him two Stradics, got two nice reels back. Pity they didn't morph into Stellas during transit. :'(
  17. I've had good luck with Wal Mart's Everstart marine batteries. Going on 2.5 years with my Everstart Maxx and it has been problem free. When the time comes I will replace it with the same model.
  18. Numbers will be fine below the decal.
  19. I would love to do this to the guys at work, but they would more than likely break the machine trying to get it to work. And since I have to fix their mistakes, it would just create more work for me. :-/
  20. If that is the case, I pretty much lost my reason for making a 3 hour drive Saturday morning. Looks like I need to give the store a call tomorrow.
  21. Why does the Chronarch cost more than the Curado or the Curado more than the Citica? Better components.
  22. Where is the choice for Zebco? Nothing like a super-tuned 33 or 202. ;D
  23. Unless they are unadvertised deals, their sales paper didn't really have a whole lot to draw me in. I do think I will go next Saturday to pick up a set of short guide-on bunks and a couple of their WorldWide Sportsman fishing shirts.
  24. Glad to see you liked it. It is a nice looking rig. Now start shopping for bigger outboards.
