  1. The probability is at a all time high of 29% to make it into the playoffs.
  2. Its obvious that the Packers are going to the superbowl.
  3. This is what i use for jerkbaits. Has a good backbone and enough tip to work jerkbaits.
  4. Im in the category that im going to spend more money on a bottom contact rod. If i want or need to fish that presentation, i want to have the best rod i can afford for that presentation as detecting bites is harder. For most of my moving baits i find i can get away with a cheaper less sensitive rod and do equally as well than if i were fishing with a more expensive rod. As always i tend to buy the best i can afford for a presentation, or as much as i see fitting for a presentation. Just as an observation, possibly you dont throw bottom contact baits or dont have as much success with them because you havent found the right rod for them? Sensitivity, power, ect...
  5. Yep, if you're really lucky they'll have a bottle of blanton. We stopped in Buffalo trace this summer hoping to find a bottle. No luck of course. I talked to a lady she said it typically sells out in the first few hours sometimes the first 10 minutes If you enjoy rye, my favorite budget friendly is bulleit rye. They make a fantastic bourbon as well.
  6. You're more of a Kessler or Canadian deluxe kind of guy eh? Hahaha Whiskey is highly influenced by anything you've eaten or drank prior. I love sampling whiskey side by side and you can really get an understanding of them. If you have a bottle of Buffalo and eagle rare, taste the Buffalo, eat a saltine cracker, than taste the eagle. The eagle really has a lot more going on it. An those whiskeys are identical mash bills, just different aging process and select barrels.
  7. Glass of Cab, cause I'm fancy. A go to for me. If you can find it, grab you a bottle of eagle rare.
  8. For the past two months I've been having neck pain. So I'm ready to bite the bullet and looking to buy a nice pillow. I'm thinking a good down pillow is the route I want to go. I'm a back and side Sleeper. So what pillows are you guys using and recommend? Thanks!
  9. Brent ehler does it. I recall watching him doing it under trees during a tournament all while in heavy winds.
  10. I had some of their small batch bourbon last night. Always a enjoyed pour. Also been sipping on some Jeffersons, and a cheap bourbon called Ancient Age. It is the same mash bill as blantons.
  11. It can, after doing it for so long. That's why it's recommended to switch it up several times a week. Keep the body guessing. But from what I've read, the body will adapt to any diet. Learns to maintain. Thus slowing the metabolism. That's one big thing about IF, studies have shown that it helps maintain muscle and actually allow you to build muscle. The science behind it is just like keto. After 12-14 hours, the body depletes all carbs and forces the body to learn to use any stored body fat to be burned and used as energy. Rather than relying on just what you consume. Because the body focuses on fats, it doesn't attack muscle, allowing you to still gain. Unless you start getting into extreme fasting, 48-96 hours. It can deplete muscle. You'd be surprised how many people do fast that long. Not for me. I actually enjoy it until around the 20 hrs mark. The mental focus gains are pretty neat.
  12. Most definitely not for everyone. Have done it in the past, actually fits to my schedule fairly well anyway. However recently I've been playing around with OMAD, one meal a day. Curious if anyone did it, along with working a 18/6 or 20/4 fasting during the weekend.
  13. Does anyone utilize intermittent fasting?
  14. My company and I personally own rigid tools. Fairly solid tools, on the job there are a few weak links as we're hard on tools but for a home owner they're excellent. The LSA warranty, was a no brainer decision for me when I upgraded cordless years ago. If you break a tool, or even a battery goes bad, send it in and they'll replace free of charge.
  15. Was a 30+ year old pond. Covering, as in filling it in. They had to move dirt in that location to start digging in another.
  16. My father in law worked at a quarry. So every so often we would head out to have some fun. These fish have nearly zero pressure. So about everything else threw worked. Crank baits and Texas rig hitting the deep shelf. Last time we went, he said they were covering the pond next month. We took home 6, 5 gallon buckets of bass in about 2 hours.
  17. Do you find yourself actually throwing all those different variations of a lipless crank?
  18. Illinois and big swimbaits don't mix. Hahaha Welcome to the forums, central Illinois here.
  19. What's up, don't know ya but see we're in the same state. I see you're by the northern border. What waters you fish up there? I'm just south of champaign.

  22. The city owns the lake, unfortunately. They govern the rules. Drove off many clubs that fished it. They also recently took away the daily pass and upped the yearly fee by 15%. Really pushing people away. Shame because this was always the "sister" lake of the club for 20 years. First year we haven't fished it.
  23. One of the clubs I fish is just a small good ol boy clubs. We typically have 15-20 boats. However one of the main lakes we fish is now requiring clubs to have insurance even though everyone individually already has their personal insurance. From what research we've done it looks like it'll cost us around $600 a year. This is a big expense for a small club. Curious if anyone has ran into this problem? Anybody know of a cheaper way to go about it? What are others paying? Thanks
  24. I was 24, I'm 29 now. It was the day after Thanksgiving, just warm enough that it wouldn't snow and their was a constant drizzle all day. To this day it is the best day of fishing I've ever had. The fish were stacked up tight. In one hour I had caught probably 40-50 bass. I'd been catching them on a jerkbait, an finally things started to slow down. So I decided to down size my jerkbait to see if anything else would hit. Literally my first throw with that smaller jerkbait, I landed my personal best. Went 7.07lbs. I've landed several 5lbs, several 6lbs, but I still can't manage to hit that 7lb since then.
