I only voted craws cause thats what I'm currently using the majority of the time. A month ago it was Senko, and in a couple more weeks it'll be mostly finesse (shakey head) and swimming tail T-rigs for the rest of the summer. Once the fall hits I'll go back to craws...

A little trick you may want to learn that helps out immensely, ALWAYS keep your index finger, from the hand that holds the reel, in contact with the line. It kills your middle after a few hours of holding the reel and rod, but you'll feel even the slightest tap then. Also, when in doubt-SET THE HOOK!!! Hook sets are free.

Oh, that sucks...

I can't find an external port for a fuse or reset button... Is it dead or is there something I may be able to do to fix it??? It's only a couple years old but it came with the boat when I bought it so I don't know if the warranty was transferable.

I got a BPS dual bank charger that just stopped working. I cant seem to find a fuse port on the external cover, do I need to open it up to find it or just replace the unit?

I caught the most beat up bass I've ever seen last night! One eye was gone ( and grown over) mouth full of scars, and an old rusty hook stuck in its gullet. Took about 20 seconds to remove it just like the instruction above say. I felt bad for that fish. wish my phone wasnt dead last night or I would have taken a picture. Then you too could feel bad for that fish...

Charlies Worms - High Floating- Throw it in water and watch it float. They have them at Bass Pro Shops or you can order them here.

Drop shot around the down timbers and LEAVE IT THERE AS LONG AS YOU CAN!!!! C-rig the structure till you find some fish and then experiment...

Charlies Worms- Shakey Head- black finesse, T-rig- Day- watermelon (shallow), red shad (mid), Black (>25' or night) swimming tail. C-Rig Black Finesse or Rage Tail. Drop shot- 4" Robo-Worms. Rage Rigs- Try to keep with color change of the native crawfish. JJ's magic if the fish aren't holding on to the bait long enough. I could go on and on... Conditions really are what dictate my go to soft plastics, these are what I usually start with any givin day!

I find that if I cast a top water no more than 25 times in a particular area and dont get at least a swirl its one of two things. 1. theres no fish there or 2. they dont want it and I go to something else. Hence the reason I have 6-10 rods on deck... Time is very valuable when I'm fishing, waste as little as possible!

I have gone to having three of the large H2O worm bags from Academy, and one small Tournaments choice green bag. I set up one of the large bags for Worms and Flukes, no more than 4 bags per compartment bag. Another for all the other Creatures and the third for a co-angler bag (all my favorites to fish in someone else's boat) and the small green bag for sticks and Senko. AND THATS ALL I ALLOW MYSELF TO HAVE. I had to go through the mountain of soft plastics this winter and get rid of a bunch, was becoming way to much to deal with in my little ole 16 footer. I keep everything in original packaging!

The first time I took my youngest son fishing on Lake Fork, we were fishing some timbers and he got snagged up and didnt know to say something, The next thing I hear was SPLASH!!! I looked back and Luke was GONE! My heart stopped till I saw him still facing the timber he was hung up in (and yes, he had his PFV on). Unfortunately he lost his brand new Zebco 33.

WOW! Those are EXPENSIVE!!!! If you have an Academy Sports n Outdoors close by- they have the VMC Wacky Jig. Works wonders for Senkos, haven't tried with any other worm yet.

I dont know what you mean by having to wait to go fishing???? I just load up and go to which ever lake is producing fish. If my boat is working I'm fishing, if my boat isnt working, I'm mechanicin, if I have to wait for parts I'm drivin to get em. Then I'm fishin again. I work when I have to, hunt when I can, and fish in between sleeping cessions...

I dont think of it as Technique "vs" lure, its a combination of all three.... Location, tech, and lure. Heres the example ... Thursday nights we have a night tournament, I was fishing a dam going from S to N throwing a fluke, my partner was throwing a topwater, another boat was coming in off a big point to the dam from the N to S. he was thorwing DD and his partner was throwing a lipless, we all ended meeting at a place that produces decent sized fish. They threw theirs several time with no return and left, we continued through where they had just fished, and I pulled out a nice three # bass on a fluke. 4 different lures in the same spot within a mater of minutes... What was it that made my lure more appealing than the other three??? The world may never know!!!

Thats why its called fishing and not catching!
