I Just Can't Catch Them Here In Washington.. Need Help!
Steal your dads lawn mower and weedeater and a rake. beat down every door and offer lawns to be mowed for 20-30 bucks, market your service as much as possible, save every penny you possibly can, and by the fall you should be able to afford a used flat bottom with a good new trolling motor. Just a suggestion to find a good place to fish!

Sunup Or Sundown
X2 I'll hit the lakes about 4:30ish and leave when the topwater action is over in the morning. The sad thing is that nobody wants to go fishing with me all night long... LOSERS!

H2O Xpress Quality?
Lures are pretty good, but fragile... They break really easy. Stay away from their hooks (terminal tackle) not that good of quality. Tungsten is fine, a little cheaper than other places. I really like the rods though. never used any of their line so no opinion there.

Sqaurebill Tips
Sounds like your getting short strikes. If your set up is correct, hooks are sharp, reel speed 6.1-6.4:1 and its still happening- I read an article about long shank hooks can improve hook ups. Also... Change the front hook to a Red hook. I'm not going to guaranty anything, just that I've found that it has worked for me.

Here's A Challenge To You: Dark Vs. Light Color
Simple- red shad like you, Blacks, green pumpkin, pumpkin, purple, watermelons (with different flakes), and Cotton Candies when nothing else works. Whites, blacks, watermelons, and shads for flukes and drop shots. craws are usually as close to the natural molt stage colors as I can get.

All The Different Lews Reels
I'm going from the STX to the Tourney pro's. I have 5 STX's and now have 4 of the tourney pro's. I have a standard Speed Spool (5.4:1) on my Deep Diving with no complaints at all! The Lew's just seem to be a much better reel than the A.G. STX, in my opinion. I'm hooked on MSB systems.

Braid + Duckett Ghost
I broke a Ghost the other day. Wont be buying anymore of those!

Braid Problems
Reel Magic line conditioner for all my reels if they are going to sit for a while. Heat is not a lines best friend. You might have gotten a bad spool of line. Your knot may be slipping into that groove on the eye of the hook. Can't say as I have ever broke off any of my braid on a hook set. Most of the time I'll straighten a hook out before I break line. If it were me, I would put a fresh spool of new braid on and throw that old one away...

Article On The Home Page
I got a Pinnacle once! It's sitting on the bottom of Lake Tyler. My son thought it was funny when I threw it!

Boating Basics
The first thing I do on a new lake after looking at the Navonics is spend time looking where other people are fishing. get up early and see which points, docks and other structure you can find boats at. Spend the money on a guided fishing trip, sometimes its cheaper than all the gas and time you'll spend hunting spots on your own. Fishing big waters can seem overwhelming at first, just keep it simple and know that it's more about the fishing than it is about the catching. You have to "earn" your knowledge and knowledge aint free!

Sunglasses On A Budget
x3... Someday I might invest in a high dollar pair. If I knew someone who had a pair of the Costas and could try them against my S11's, then I might pull the trigger a little sooner.

Posting Specific Locations
I fish a weekly tournament, and for the first few tournaments I was usually the last guy out (for a reason). I watch where the winners go! I'll pull out my bino's and see what they are throwing, making mental notes. When they leave move up and graph the area. Mark the spot on the GPS. On to the next spot. It's been productive in some spots and not in others. Catt said it best in my opinion... It's more about how to fish the spot than knowing where the spot is. I've got a couple spots that I have yet to see anyone fish, but I pull out some nice fish from. In fact, it's won a tournament for my partner and I. If you really want to become a better fisherman, one has to put the time in. We can point you in the general direction but the rest is up to you and your skills! Thats the way I see sharing Honey Holes!

Here's A Challenge To You: Dark Vs. Light Color
Presentation is king, Colors only come into play due to light conditions. Deep waters get dark colors, murky waters get dark with hot pink/ chartreuse tails. Stained gets bright colors and clear get pumpkins and naturals. I try to keep it as simple as possible otherwise I end up with 4 wal-mart bags stuffed full of every color of worm and then spend more time trying to decide which color than I do fishing.

Windy Day Fishing
What lures/baits do you use on those days you have really windy conditions. I usually throw a rattle trap on the points till my trolling motor battery is dead- somedays its effective some its not.
