  1. They create a lot of drag and are a bit fragile. You wont reach 15 feet with them. 12 or so maybe. THey have a place in my tackle box.
  2. My 7'7" always catches branches...
  3. I dont like a lot of tip to mine. Xfast please! Ive had mod fast before and got in trouble when bass surge towards cover. I have more control with faster action.
  4. She is holding it out towards camera. Ill say 3 pounds at most
  5. Mustad makes a finesse dropshot hook I use in a pinch. Its lighter wire than their spinning hook. Havent bent it out on a fish. On a tree limb with me pulling with 20 lb braid...yes. As others mentioned, the right equipment and drag will prevent damaged hooks.
  6. 6 lb bass on 8 pound line and a mustad spin dropshot hook says otherwise.
  7. Morgantown area
  8. I caught bass with the 40 in 57 degree water in West Virginia... I wouldnt worry about the 50.
  9. Gambler ez swimmers. Durable, good action, good colors, cheap. Only issue ive had is that i need to boil some of their tails.
  10. 4.5 robo dropshot for biggest AND most.
  11. We get it,you are awesome.
  12. Click "click to choose files" find your picture and insert it.
  13. I just got the 705cb today!
  14. I can pound in a nail with a screw driver But Ill take the hammer.
  15. I had to rush my last post. I wasnt saying not to get an alarm, but having one that sets off your phone and having an action plan in place when itngoes off may be the safest and most expediant option in catching the thieves.
  16. The problem with alarms is that it might make you brash in your response. Tournament angler was killed a couple years ago confronting thieves. Have a plan in your head for what to do if something happens. Take pictures or video from your room from safe distance
  17. My two t3s cost on average 140 dollars. The 1016 spool alone is 70 dollars
  18. Daiwa t3 1016 Super amazing spool makes it effortless to pitch and skip. Also the hood allows you to reengage spool with one hand in case you get bit on fall.
  19. 2 issues come to mind.... 1. If the pads are thick like water shield it will be difficult to bring weight out of water at end of presentation. 2. The increased diameter could pop open bass mouth on hookset
  20. Im going to try sunline armilo this season
  21. Im sure they would work but does anyone have experience with spybaits in cold water? The warm rain and warm temps are thawing small impoundments and I'd like to try my new pink duo 90 for smallies
  22. Bass dont recognize brands Try a real small swimbait like gambler tz swimmer on a darter head
  23. Montanaro replied to Heron's topic in Fishing Tackle
Id say 6. All revenge baits in 1/4 to 3/8. Shad patterns, whites and chartrueses. I want to add a couple more 1/4oz deep runners as they mimic small shad perfectly
  24. I use 20lb pline cx premium for jigs and soft plastics....no issues but im going FC this year
  25. Ive had zero problems and has improved hookup ratio. The line simply doesnt have time to sink. Those who say you cant because the line sinks are just repeating what theyve read about.
