Braided Line Keeping Me From Catching Fish?
Depends on your water clarity, sky conditions, and whether 30# thickness was visible. I've seen fish VERY line shy in clearwater situations so in my experience line visibility matters I think in most cases where people dont think it matters, other factors are obsuring the effect

Z Man Bait Issues
I love zmans but keep those in their orig packages plez.. otherwise u will HATE them Only other negative: really tough to get a screwhead hook on thez things too

Best Line For....
I use 25# tatsu fluoro lead on my 1oz baits and even then over time I've had theym break off at the knot (not unravel .. break) .. imo fluoro just cant handle the shock over time as its stretch has irreversibilities.

Best Line For....
Yer askin to lose those lures using 12 lb fluoro.. 50# braid at the least for 3oz baits if yer going leader for 3oz baits I'd go higher than 25 lb fluoro or stick to mono leader and make sure you know how to tie a proper leader knot else it dont matter what the line ratings are..

Most Versatile Lure?
Fluke jerkbaits
-
Least Versatile Lure?
X2 on the buzzbait.. I've caught too many on top walkers to even think about adding that.. They're not the most versatile but they're not the least for sure

Quality Bass? Dinks?
We been thru this.. its a matter o opinion.. everyones different and different lakes.. those big ole bass in cali and florida will have another measure altogether.. up here in my area.. I'd say quality is big.. 19"+ but even an 18" is quite a sight

Is A Swimbait Rod Necessary?
That MH F is not going to be able to throw that 3 oz bait very far and ya might even end up breakin the tip. Not worth it. My flippin stick is rated to 1.5oz but even then I keep its use in the middle of the weight spectrum.. for 3 oz baits thats actually in the sweetspot of my rated 1-6oz swimbait rod.. 1-6 oz is obviously pr bs.. it throws 3oz lures like a champ.. throws 1oz lures like a broomstick and has a bit of trouble with 5 oz+ lures.

Fishing A Shallow Lake With Little To No Structure
Theres a catch and release manmade lake maybe 6 acres about 2 miles away I used to fish a hour whenever I had to wait for practice to end.. only ever caught max 2 pounders from there as well. One day that season I got curious and asked the county for stocking data.. they had put a bunch of fish in there earlier that season including a pair of 18"+ bass on top of whatever may have been living in there before.. never did catch them tho.. you just never know what lives with those dinks.

Memorial Day ~ Remembering Our Heroes
I wish to God in heaven noone especially the young men and women whom had yet tasted life had to lose their lives in wars they were told were for so and so but did not truely understand. "I spent 33 years and four months in active military service as a member of our country's most agile military force -- the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from second lieutenant to Major General. And during that period I spent more of my time being a high--class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. "I suspected I was just a part of a racket at the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all members of the military profession I never had an original thought until I left the service. My mental faculties remained in suspended animation while I obeyed the orders of the higher-ups. This is typical with everyone in the military service. Thus I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-12. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that the Standard Oil went its way unmolested. During those years, I had, as the boys in the back room would say, a swell racket. I was rewarded with honors, medals and promotion. Looking back on it, I feel I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three city districts. I operated on three continents." -- General Smedley Butler, former US Marine Corps Commandant,1935

Pouring Worms
Ya its not worth it unless you tear thru those worms like butter each trip.. do the math and see if tis more worthwhile to simply stock up on clearance each year at end of season sales.

Why Remove The Dinks?
Actuall as part of the NJ lunker lakes program they are trying to increase the populations of 5lb+ fish so they are after prize big fish. Their change was to up the keeper limit to 15" on the lunker lakes.

Fishing A Shallow Lake With Little To No Structure
Whenever I fish one of these holes ie.. when invited to relatives and friends places with one of these lil manmades, I usually use a spinnerbait and a jig These manmade pond usually have algae problems and are heavy stained.. I need to cover lots of water top and bottom cause I only get to fish these places once got no scouting got no intelligence.. Then all fails I use a jig to drag bottom to feel the contours of the bottom for structure cause uisually even tho its usually carved flat theres always something somewhere on the bottom and the fish are on it prime real estate esp the bigger ones.

Why Remove The Dinks?
If the research is so clear why do states like mine (NJ) who are "managing" lunker lakes by upping the size limits from 12" up to 15" as keeper? I would think this would mean all the lil fish get to stay. Maybe they dont know what their doing.. or maybe they do. Supposedly in Assinpink Lake the number of 5 pounders caught has doubled. Thanks for providing the research links btw. "To address this issue, bluegill may need to be stocked (if absent), low fertility of an impoundment may need to be addressed, or adequate numbers of fish from the stunted size need to be removed. Unfortunately, there is not one correct answer" The above excerpt doesnt sound so clear cut to me..

Giant Swim Baits...giant Bass?/!
Thats a big beautiful fish.. but thats a small swimbait dude.

Why Remove The Dinks?
Yea I hear this alot too and it sure sounds like it makes sense but I'm curious who came up with this idea cause alot of things these days is just made up hogwash and spreads like wildfire.. sure it sounds logical but wheres the research. I think maybe Pondboss had an article regarding this once but how applicable to a larger body of water? Careful playing God you may not get what you intend.. ie a lake with a runaway bluegill population just cause one doesnt know how to catch the 5 pounders.

Where Do You Draw The Line?
water clarity is not the only factor but its a factor. clearwater absent of any other factors such as light or wind or current or structure etc.. guess whats comin out of my box first.. plastics.. the best lookin natural ones why first cause imo from experience thats what works best and I'm not out there to waste time Can plastics work in heavy stain and wheres the cutoff? Depends on the conditions and how the fish are feelin IMO even in water with less than 6" visibility there are times fish respnd to subtleness over a rock concert in the water
